Item Description

I have been collecting records for 40 years and have decided to sell part of my collection. Most of the records in my collection are rare and very hard to find. I have a lot of near mint and sealed albums mostly from the late Sixties to mid seventies.I have been very picky in what i have collected and have picked only the very best that could be found. If you are interested in picking up some of the rarest rock from the sixties and the seventies your in luck, so check out my stuff and good luck. I will combine shipping costs. 4 for the first LP and 1 for each additional LP. Please E-Mail me for shipping rates outside the USA.This is an incredibly RARE English Early First Turquoise Pressing.Led Zeppelin s self titled first release from 1969 on the red/plum colored label. The record has the unusual turquoise lettering on the laminated Brit cover, and it also has the A1 B1 matrix numbers that denote the first pressing. It comes with the original inner sleeve warning that plastic bags can be dangerous. Cover printed by McNeil Press. The very first release had a mistake in the publisher s credits, listing the cuts with the wrong number sequence,This LP DOES NOT HAVE THAT MISTAKE. This was corrected by Atlantic very early, like right away, and I think this LP is still considered part of the first issue. The matrix numbers have 2 8 s in the sequence, and they were crossed out or corrected on later issues. The 8 s ARE NOT SCRATCHED OUT on this Lp. The record grades visually at VG. And the Fully Laminated Cover grades VG. .UPTIGHT AN OUTASIGHT reference to the sleeve rear and silver strip to the front, lower edge. I m starting the bid at a reasonable price. They sell for several hundred dollars for a true Early pressing.

The play grade on this LP is also VG. The album still has most of it s shine and plays quite quiet with relatively few pops and clicks. It does have one small scratch that i could hear on song two of side one but it is a quiet song and the pop is not loud. The sound is still vibrant and clear. If the small scratch bothers you then i would grade it as VG- still in great shape for its age.
