Item Description

This is it – the one and only, manufactured by EMI in the UK (but sold Internationally – there was only one version), Pink Floyd 1995 official live 4-LP boxed set, Pulse.

I have had this record since the mid 90’s having purchased it from a chain record store (Coconuts) in New York City. I already had a copy, at the time, but wanted to keep a sealed one in my collection. I really need to thin the herd so am looking for things to sell, hence this listing!

I’ve stored it properly (upright) in a closed cabinet with the rest of my Floyd collection. Smoke free environment.

It proudly boasts the comment “This is an analogue recording.” and I have to say that this album does indeed sound better in the vinyl form when compared to the CD (which I also have … the sound is much richer on the LP and has more “depth” as they say). It’s an amazing sounding recording.

The vinyl version of this album also boasts a bonus track in “One of These Days”.

The box is in top shape. I’ve included some photos….note that there is a little wear on the corners (see photos). This wear has been there since I purchased this thing new. My belief is that these were manufactured in the UK and then shipped to Sony Music’s warehouse/distribution center where they were then shrink wrapped and sent to stores. This might explain the handling wear on the corners of the box. It’s very minimal and my other copy has pretty much the same thing. At this time period I don’t believe that records manufactured in the UK were shrink wrapped for sale over there. I used to buy a lot of new imports at the time (things on Creation Records mostly) and they were never sealed but always new. So it’s my assumption that this was sealed by Sony Music in the States. Remember, although Pink Floyd were an EMI band in Europe and the UK at the time, they were singed to Sony Music in the USA and the rest of the world. However, Sony did not manufacture the LP version of this album. It was too limited and would have been too expensive to do so. They purchased a bulk lot of them from EMI and sold them domestically. Even back then it was a hard record to find.

Very rare find these days and doubtful that you’ll ever find another copy as fine.

Comes with hardcover book and four LPs in lovely customized sleeves.

Essential official release.

This is a sealed, never before opened item. All contents presumed mint. The box is also in mint condition except for the small corner blemishes mentioned above.

I will ship worldwide via eBay’s worldwide shipping program.

Insurance is probably recommended.
