Item Description

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING - THANK YOU
This item is a rare mono press album released for a short time in 1968 on Elektra Records by The Doors entitled ‘Waiting For The Sun’. Record label and number is Elektra Records EKL 4024. This record was being released at the time when mono albums were being phased out by the record companies and most albums being released in 1968 were all released in stereo. This is one of the few mono copies of this album that got out. HOWEVER... Record itself is in G- condition with many scuffs and hairline marks (too many to count) and there is a constant pop or click on most of the tracks. I believe there is a very quick skip in the song ‘The Unknown Soldier’ but I couldn’t tell for sure. There was a constant pop through that particular song. Rest of the album played through on my Denon turntable but as state there is noise on most of the songs. Record was professionally cleaned on a Nitty Gritty record cleaning machine and vinyl has decent gloss. Mono record labels are in great condition (see photos). Mono gatefold cover is in excellent condition with some light wear at the corners (see photos). Album comes complete with it’s original Elektra Records paper inner sleeve. See photos for song listings. I’ve tried to describe this album the best I could but please feel free to e mail me with any questions. Album is being sold for its rarity and not condition. Record will fill a hole in your Doors collection until and if you can ever find another mono copy of this record. This is only the second mono copy of this record that I’ve ever seen in over 45 years of collecting records and this is possibly the rarest Doors record. Low starting bid. No reserve. Money back if not satisfied. Payment is expected within ten business days. I combine shipping rates on multiple purchases. Records are shipped in cardboard mailers and are well packed. Please contact me if there is a problem with your purchase before leaving feedback. I can’t resolve a problem if I don’t know about it - Thank you. Overseas postage is $19.00 Postage to Canada is $13.00 (USPS overseas postal rates have recently been increased). Good luck with your bids.
