GATEFOLD ALBUM COVER: VG+ (No Shrinkwrap). Cover has very little ring/shelf wear, what there is, is mainly on the top edge, back side. Scattered minor roughness along part of the spine edge, and minor dings on the corners. Almost no other roughness on the other edges. No top, bottom or side splits, and no graffiti. The spine is in very nice condition overall, almost no rough spots (see photo). Lettering along the spine is fully visible. Covers' colors and hues are still bold and vivid, and overall the cover is in very decent condition for a 68' model. Some very light wear and minor roughness, but very decent overall.
INNER SLEEVE: VG+. Plain vanilla inner sleeve (no label hole) is in VG+ to Excellent condition overall with no side or bottom splits. Several bent corner creases and minor yellowing from age. Very light roughness along the mouth edge. No other damage to declare. No tears, rips, glue separation or other common flaws. Very nice condition overall. I am confident (but not certain) that this is the original sleeve that came with the album as first purchased.
VINYL: EX Cosmetically. There is a minor light surface scratch/scuff side one across track four that does not cause any noise or distortion during track play. A more prominent, but not serious, 1/4" or so scratch on side two near the dead wax area between tracks 3 and 4 (no impact on sound quality...see photo). The vinyl is otherwise scratch free, very clean, shiny, nice luster, and almost no wear is evident. The album was played infrequently, and has been well taken care of over the years. It sounds great during playback. This record was played on mostly newer equipment, and does not have any notable sound quality issues other than some scattered very, very light surface noise in spots, mainly on side two.
LABELS: NEAR MINT. Both labels are in great shape, virtually perfect. Exceptionally clean, spindle holes on either side are near mint. Only a few very light spindle trails are visibleon both sides. No scratches, tears or graffiti. Colors are very nice and bold! Great shape overall.
Please examine all photos carefully prior to bidding. Most, if not all the flaws noted in this description may be viewed more closely in the photo gallery. May I stress, don't like it? Not as nice as you'd hoped or expected? Just let me know. Buyer satisfaction always guaranteed and returns always accepted. Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.
THIS RECORD WAS GRADED AUDIBLY 'LOUD' IN MONO MODE, SO THAT ANY AND ALL NOISE POLLUTION COULD BE HEARD AND NOTED. NO HEADPHONES GRADING!
Near zero noise in the lead in groove area. Absolutely stellar sound, super clean, and crisp! Near zero noise between tracks. Virtually no surface noise during tracks play, and what noise there is, if any is very, very faint and certainly nothing of a distracting nature. Two very, very light pops during one of the diminished segments in the last track. One moderate pop in the dead wax trail off area. No other noise in the trail off area. I gave side one a grade of "A-" audibly. Super nice overall sound quality, and nearly worthy of an "A" grade.
Near zero noise in the lead in groove area. Again, nice clean sound and separation. Some very light surface noise is noticeable in the diminished segments early into track one. Very light noise and some very light pops between tracks one and two. Some very light pops between most tracks. A smattering of very light noise and pops during some diminished segments and between tracks, but nothing noticeable during tracks' play. Record is very nice to listen to and plays through very smoothly. Near zero noise in the dead wax trail off area. I gave side two an "A-" audibly. Sounds very nice, but is not quite perfect audibly. I am very strict in my audible gradings.
SUMMARY:Cosmetically, this record is overall about an 8 or 8 1/2 (a"0" is scrap and a "10" is mint-sealed). Vinyl should be graded about an 8 1/2 or a 9. Record is a highly sought after collectible, is very nice visually, with no egregious flaws or damage to any aspect of the package. Itis more than suitable for recording to another medium. It sounds awesome and the vinyl looks very nice as well. The visual description and audible gradings are honest and as thorough as possible. This album is very nice sound wise, and I loved grading it.

I am not a dealer, nor will I pretend to be an expert on grading records. I'm just a guy that's been buying and collecting records forover 50 years. I use Goldmines price guide as a tool when either buying or selling an album or 45. My listing procedure is: to clean the record (if necessary), visually inspect record and album cover for obvious imperfections, and to play each record in its entirety to check for sound quality. I try to simply give my honest opinion of the record's condition without the technical gobbledygook. I believe that grading a record can be as subjective as judging Olympic figure skating, therefore, my opinion may well differ from yours as a prospective buyer, either in a positive or in a negative way. I simply offer a full money back guarantee + shipping cost on any record that I sell, if you are not 100% satisfied with the purchase. I do not want negative feedback in the event that I overlook an egregious flaw or if my opinion of the record is beneath the buyer's expectations. If you are the end buyer and are dissatisfied in any way, please contact me immediately and return the record in the condition you received it within 14 days of the purchase date. I ship same or next business day after payment is received. All records with a purchase price of $25.00 or more will be insured (included in the shipping price). Records are shipped in custom fitted LP shipping cartons with protective plastic covering.
Please do not ask me to discount shipping on single item purchases. In order to get buyers their items as quickly as possible, I ship same or next business day upon confirmation of receipt of payment. I live out in the sticks. It is 17 miles round trip to the nearest mailing center and my old truck gets crummy mileage, so I must consider fuel when calculating shipping costs. Multiple items purchases will be bundled and a discounted shipping fee negotiated, based on type(s) of items purchased. Thanks for your consideration.
