BEGGARS OPERA, WATERS OF CHANGE AN ORIGINAL FIRST ISSUE 1971 UK VERTIGO RECORD LABEL VINYL LP IN GATE-FOLD SLEEVE CATALOGUE NUMBER, 6360 054.

Beggars Opera were a progressive rock band from Glasgow, Scotland, formed in Glasgow in 1969 by guitarist Ricky Gardiner. The line-up consisted of Ricky Gardiner guitar/vocals born Richard Gardner, in 1948, Edinburgh, Lothian, Scotland , Alan Park keyboards born 10 May 1951, Glasgow, Strathclyde, Scotland , Martin Griffiths vocals , Marshall Erskine bass/flute and Raymond Wilson drums . In 1970, after signing to Vertigo Records, the band recorded their first album Act One, and a single Sarabande , which charted in several European countries. The following year, for their second album, Waters of Change, the band were joined by Gordon Sellar bass born 13 June 1947, Glasgow, Strathclyde, Scotland . The single Time Machine from that album was successful in Germany, where the band toured extensively.

This is a scarce UK Vertigo Records Vinyl LP from Beggars Opera, in gate-fold sleeve, with the LP on the Black White VERTIGO SWIRL Record Labels.


Both record labels are in undamaged Excellent Plus condition, super clean record labels with signs of just a few plays to each label.

The matrix s side A, 6360054 1 Y 2 420 1 1 1. Side B, 6360054 2 Y 1 420 11 2.

Both sides of the vinyl LP is in beautiful Near Mint condition, super clean, glossy vinyl surfaces to both sides, with nothing more than just a couple of light surface hairlines visible.

The LP comes in it s original Vertigo Swirl record bag, and housed in it s original gate-fold picture sleeve which is in superb Excellent Plus condition. There are no tears or damage to this sleeve, all that is visible are light rub marks to the edges. The centre and back panels are superb.
