David Bowie The Man Who Sold The World LP - 1971, Mercury Australia 6338 041.
This must be one of the rarer Bowie releases, both because he wasn t a big star in 1971, but also because Australia had a small population so very few copies could have been sold as the LP didn t make the charts.
The cover art is the same as the UK but less tactile/more smooth, and the labels are different.
The cover is in good condition but please note the scuffing and ring-wear.
There is also a name in pink ink on the back cover and tape along the bottom edge.
The vinyl is surprisingly clean and is in very good condition with some faint marks.
I tested the vinyl before listing and it plays perfectly, without crackles.
The labels black writing on red are clean other than the number 275 in pencil on one side, which should come off with a rubber, and a small tear at the central hole.
A big Bowie vinyl fan in the 80s, this is from my personal collection and is one of a number of vinyl items I ll be selling as I no longer have a decent turntable.
The LP will be posted in thick cardboard to protect the item, which does unfortunately make it expensive to post.
Tracking and/or insurance can also be organised at extra cost if required.
The package will be under 500g so for Australian customers, the LP can be posted with Australia Post for 8.50 with tracking.
International postage, including signature on delivery, is between 25 and 35 depending on location - please ask for a quote.
This item will also need to be insured, which is 9 for the first 100 and 2.50 per hundred after that, so 17.10 for up to 500.
