Item Description

SPRINGSELF-TITLED 1971 NEON LABEL UK VINYL LPOne of only 11 albums released on the short-lived Neon label, an offshoot of RCA in the UK.
All of them have since become collectible, and this one is particularly sought-after by lovers of Prog. This is part of a lovely collection which we have recently obtained, containing a number of very rare and well-preserved LPs.
We will be listing them all in the coming days and weeks.
In its distinctive triple gatefold sleeve and black inner.
See more photos CONDITION OF VINYL:Clean, glossy vinyl, with only the faintest of lines visible under a strong light.
Labels have minimal spindle marks.
There is a slightly uneven sheen on the RCA label side 2 , possibly from handling but it may have been that way from new.
Also a couple of white specks near the edge of the Neon label.
On test, side 1 plays beautifully with barely any audible noise at all.
Side 2 is almost as good, however from the end of track 2 and through track 3 there is some faint surface noise and a few ticks audible in the quietest sections.
This never becomes overly intrusive, and the overall listening experience from playing the album is very enjoyable.
Conservatively grades as at least EX.CONDITION OF SLEEVE:The tri-fold sleeve is rigid and fully intact with no seam splits, tears or writing.
It has been in storage for many years and at certain angles to the light some light foxing is visible.
There is moderate wear around the edges and corners, and the inside of the gatefold has a couple of tiny nicks revealing the white card beneath.
I have tried to photograph it from all angles to show any issues, and you will see from the close-up photo there is a mark to the left of the RCA logo where a sticker was removed.Has a black inner sleeve which I assume is original but can t be certain.
It is die-cut but has lost its poly lining.Overall sleeve grade VG.CATALOGUE NUMBER:NE 6, AGBS 0521/0522 on labels MATRIX NUMBERS / WRITING IN RUN-OUT:AGBS 0521-A-1, AGBS 0522-B-1.Pictures shown are of the actual record for sale, not stock photos.
