Item Description

Okay, you know what this is: One of the rarest and most sought-after Killed By Death-era punk/US hardcore records of all time—the ORIGINAL 1980 five-song debut 7" Indianapolis legends the ZERO BOYS, complete with the ultra-scarce ORIGINAL LYRIC INSERT (see photo). The decision to part with it has not been an easy one, but so it is. Record is VG+ with onevisible light paper scuff that is entirely inaudible—disc plays beautifully. Sleeve has faint yellowing from age andring wear plus a couple of minor browning spots along top edge (see photo). Rare insert is in stunning condition, with very faint browning on lyrics side (photo side is PERFECT). Finding a first pressing with the original picture sleeve of this killer record is tough enough; finding one with the actual insert is ridiculous. But here it is. Your move, punker...

Here's the lowdown on this punk rock holy grail via the website SwedishPunkFanzines.com, which, for good reason, listed it as being among the 10 most coveted hardcore records:

"The HC pride of Indianapolis made their debut on their own DIY label “Z-Disc”. Frankly not so much hardcore after all but some great songs anyhow. With Vicious Circle LP in 1982 the Zero Boys developed a more hardcore sound. It might come to a surprise to find it on the list but it hard to find a complete release in good condition. The EP was pressed in 500 copies and fewer actually had a picture sleeve (200 copies according to several trustworthy sources) and of these even fewer had the lyric insert."
