Very very rare early Mono pressing on the Track Records label in beautiful condition from an extremely well looked after collection. I recently last year sold an Electric Ladyland first pressing with blue text in similar condition. The majority of my collection is Mint-/Excellent+.
I listen all the way though before grading. I don't ever list items as Mint unless sealed as I don't believe a true Mint record exists.
You really have to view this record under strong light to see any minor surface marks. Any questions regarding this item please get in touch with me and any additional photos required I will be happy to send.
This particular record looks like it's been played perhaps 10 times or so and plays through clearly with only the odd popple here and there, very hard to find like this. A more detailed description below of condition.
I do not use any cleaning fluids on these rarer records or put them throughany kind of cleaning machine as I leave that to the buyersdiscretion. There may be a slight build up of dust in the grooves after such a long time so of course may benefit to have a professional clean if you so desire.
I have a more detailed description below of the condition of this beautiful record.
I'm sure a few of you looking know me by now andunderstand the majority of my collection is in stunning Mint-/Excellent+condition and that I am selling my private collection I haveaccumulated over many years and I'm very anal about grading. I have sold a Black and Gold Please Please Me Stereo copylast year in Excellent+ condition and many Blue Horizon records inabsolutely superb Mint- condition as well as first press Blue Text Jimi Hendrix Electric Ladyland and a Mint- David Bowie Man Who Sold The World 'Dress Cover' to satisfied buyers.
I always ask to please read through my listings as I understand it's a delicate thing grading a record like this. I am also happy to send any requested photo's.
Jimi Hendrix - Are You Experienced
Artist: The Jimi Hendrix Experience
Title: Are You Experienced
Label: Track Records
Catalogue Number: 612 001
Sleeve Manufacturer: EJ Day & Co.
Sleeve: Front Laminated
Matrix: 612001 A 1 / 612001 B 1
Condition In Detail:
Labels: Both labels retain their beautiful matt sheen and the silver font looks as new. Side 1 has only two tiny visible spindle marks next to the centre hole. There is also one other mark which could possible have been from the spindle about an inch long on the Track Records text or just a single scuff line.
Side 2 has around 8 very small spindle marks next to the centre hole only up to the embossed circle.
Side 1: Shines beautifully, wonderful to see, retaining it’s full lustre. Inspected under very strong light at all angles I can see a few light wispy inner sleeve removal surface marks. The only other mark I can see is a light hairline mark which appears to be either a light finger nail mark about one inch long but you have to hold the record at the right angle to see this - it could be a light skate mark and when played over this area it does not seem to effect play.
Side 2: Again shines beautifully retaining it’s full lustre. Inspected under strong light the record is stunning with a few extremely light minor surface marks. I can see at a certain angle on the first track some removal marks which seem to be where the record has been slipped out the inner sleeve but when played there seems to be hardly any notice, there are one or two very light popples but could just as easily be dust as I do not run my records through record cleaners. (Please see below for play grading)
Side 1: Plays very clean throughout. Extremely quite between most tracks. The only noticeable popples I can hear are between track 3 and 4, about 3 light popples, and one or two between tracks 4 and 5. I’m being anal here but when buying a record of this value I’d rather be totally honest and again this could easily be renewed if placed through a professional record cleaning machine.
Side 2: Only has one or two light popples at the beginning groove which could only be dust, extremely clean playback and extremely quite in-between tracks. So great to hear.
Overall I will grade at a conservative 9/10 playback although most tracks play near perfectly and mostly extremely quite between tracks.
Sleeve: Very solid, front lamination is in very good shape indeed with only the odd small lamination crease as seen in photos. Only very minor storage wear/rubbing to corners. Mainly only on the side the record slips into.
Back cover is super clean with only a few very light age spots.
Spine has a little storage wear to the top, a little minor rubbing effecting a little of the text at the top. No creases or splits.
Poly lined Inner sleeve is super clean with little creasing to bottom corners. There is a small tear near the centre rim as pictured and the poly is slightly indented on one side where it sits over the spindle hole. Patent Application No. 40904/61 written in blue text bottom right.
Please note: I do not run my vinyls through any record cleaning machines…I will leave this up to the buyer to consider. This record is nearly 50 years old and sound fantastic. There is the odd dust popple hear and there in a few places faintly but records of this age do gather light dust and i'm sure even though its a near perfect playback a record cleaner would make it even better especially on a high end system.
Please note I do Not Post to Brazil, Mexico or South Africa. I do post to Russia though it can take up to 6 weeks to arrive and anything being sent overseas will need to be signed for.
Please see my other rare LP's and 100% positive feedback, I'm selling some lovely and super rare stuff over the next few months so keep your eyes peeled. Postage is for U.K so please mail me if bidding from over seas.
I send all LP’s in a thick card record sender with bubble wrap and two stiffeners. This item will need to be sent Special signed For Delivery up to the value of the item and wrapped extremely well. I am happy to combine shipping.
