Limited nine 180gm vinyl LP box set. The Capitol Albums 1968-1977 box set offers up vinyl pressings of eight classic albums from The Band during their late-60s and '70s recording glory. This set includes Music From The Big Pink (1968), The Band (1969), Stage Fright (1970), Cahoots (1971), Rock of Ages (1971), Moondog Matinee (1973), Northern Lights-Southern Cross (1975) and Islands (1977). The first four titles are only currently available on the format in this box set. All of the album artwork is true to the original releases and the whole nine LP-set comes packaged in a rigid box. All albums are single LP pressing except the live album Rock Of Ages, which is a double LP set.

    Changed American Music

    I had been a big fan of Bob Dylan long before I heard THE BAND. When I finally heard their music, I found it to be so very different, in a good way. I became a huge fan, especially after seeing them at the Syria Mosque in Pittsburgh, late 1970. I bought all their LP's and 45's. I purchased this box set after reading reviews that mentioned the quality as being better than the original vinyl. I am not disappointed! I keep playing the records over and over, never tiring of the sounds that come from my Sansui 5-ways!! A big recommendation from me to all fans of THE BAND!!!!! You'll love the box set!!!!!!!!!!!!

    The Band, Capitol Albums Box Set

    All their albums in one place. The only complaint is that "The Band" LP should have had the textured/embossed brown cover like the originals had. Everything else is great. Great sound, great pressings, they even reproduce the original Capitol labels on the vinyl. What a great purchase of some essential music.

    It's A Great Box Set!

    Having almost everything The Band put out over the years set me up for this. I recently returned to listening to music on vinyl. To my dismay the albums were not that readily available at stores. When you think at what is included in this package you get all the original cover with inserts if they originally had them, archival inner sleeves, a cover box that holds them and protects them and great quality heavy pressings with excellent sound for a mere $16.00 each with tax and shipping!
