I had to replace my aging Black and Decker plug in miter saw. I thought the battery version wouldn't be able to handle what I was cutting, mainly 2 x 4's and some 1 X 3's Pvc trim. This saw has handled everything I needed to cut easily. It came with a 40 tooth blade which was fine for the Pvc trim, I thought I would need to buy a blade with a higher tooth count but I didn't need to. Now the only thing I will need is a bigger battery pack so I can work without having to wait while the battery charges.

It's great in that it's so light and mobile you can take it to where ever your working. I attach a portable vacuum to keep the dust down in the work area. The light (indicating where your cutting is also a great feature.
