"Point of No Return" is the fifth studio album by American rock band Kansas, released in 1977. The album is considered a quintessential Kansas album, picking up where their previous album "Leftoverture" left off and refining the band's sound. It is the zenith of the band's popularity, reaching #4 on the album charts and launching Kansas' one and only major headlining tour. Musically, the album continues with a strong, highly melodic, and very accessible tone. Despite most classic rock artists migrating towards simpler, more accessible music at the time, Kansas was one of the last stubborn holdouts to compose pure prog rock. The band managed to compose some of their most popular, enduring, and radio-friendly songs on this album, even while going against the stream. The album's rich ...
