Item Description

TREVOR LUCAS

SELF TITLED LP

EAST RECORDS POKORA 6

AUSTRALIA LATE 1964

OK There are rare LPs... and rare LPs.

This is Trevor Lucas s first LP, a private pressed LP released through the Elwood Audio Services better known later for pressing jazz records, as well as the Australian garage rock rarity by The Swordsmen .

This was pressed in Melbourne in late 1964, and never ever shows up... quite an insight into the Australian connection of the development of UK folk rock... and great folk/blues lp on its own merits.

MEMBER OF FAIRPORT CONVENTION

According to Australia rock music historian, Ian McFarlane, Lucas was one of the most acclaimed singer/songwriters Australia ever produced and although he was held in high regard in UK folk-rock circles, he remained virtually unknown in his homeland .

LISTED ON POKORA 2001 with 6 STARS

DIXONS RECORD GRADES

Gold indicates an album in mint or perfect condition.

Silver Condition indicates an album in excellent condition, with only a few very very light marks. A Silver record will play perfectly.

Green condition indicates an album in very good condition. Though there might be a couple of visible marks on these records it should not affect the play very much if at all.

Yellow condition indicates good condition. These records can have marks that may make a pop or crackle, but will not skip. Or may have more numerous lighter marks. Any other issues that may get a record a yellow grade such as a slight warp or fogging will be mentioned in the description.

Blue condition indicates a record with quite a few marks or with heavier marks or a worn record.
