This seminal recording is here offered in a near perfect condition.
Although I collect and deal in records as part of a wider stock, I don t often put them on ebay, and so don t pretend the high tech expertise of the full time dealers. My grading is done visually for the most part, although I do play some through on adequate, but basic, equipment that serves for the shop. I describe the records as I see them, with the intention of telling you all you need to know, and I aim to be as honest and accurate as possible, without any technical jargon or professional gradings - which are all subjective anyway. If you bid on one of my records you should know exactly what you re getting.
This 47 year old record is in a remarkably clean and sound gatefold non-laminated sleeve. It is bright and clean flat and square, with no obvious wear on the inner hinge. The spine shows a little wear, and the front and back cover each has a minor white scuff mark.
The vinyl itself is glossy black, and under a strong light shows shows no marks or imperfections. I have played it through, and it plays virtually perfectly, although the music is so ultra quiet at times, that there are barely detectable background whispers, or muted crackles in the almost silent passages. Although I m not too familiar with the record, I would guess this is true of most pressings.
The labels are bright and clean as in the photos, with no spindle wear.
All said, I would guess this is about as good as it gets.
