Up for auction is this MISFITS VINTAGE EVILIVE II CD. This album was a
LIMITED EDITION RELEASE was only made available to premium paying members
of the MISFITS FIEND CLUB. Here s what else I know about this particular CD...
This wasn t available or sold in retail stores the band was never allowed or officially
cleared to use the songs written by Glenn Danzig or to use the Evilive name at all.
This is a LIVE album recorded between 1997 1998 with Michale Graves on vocals
doing a mixture of Danzig-era Graves-era songs.
This is an EXTREMELY RARE MISFITS CD that you can hardly find for sale anywhere
b/c most collectors either hoard or keep this in their personal collection.
According to the Official Misfits Website, only 4,033 copies were ever pressed on CD
were available exclusively to Fiend Club members by mail order a small unknown
amount were sold on tour between 1998 2000.
The CD face of the
first 1,000 copies pressed was mistakenly printed in blue ink, creating
a
rare variant. The CD face on all of the subsequent copies was printed in
white as
originally intended.
When I bought this copy through mail order from the Fiend Club, I had bought 2 copies of
this LIMITED EDITION CD. I opened one it was one of the blue variants which I
have already sold here on EBAY some time ago. SO it would be a safe bet to say
that this unopened copy you are bidding on here is also one of the blue variants.
But it is not guaranteed.
