LED ZEPPELIN--- LED ZEPPELIN ---Genuine, Original UK 1st Pressing Stereo With Turquoise Sleeve Text and Red/Plum Superhype Labels.
In Lovely Condition From 1969 With Uncorrected Matrices This is an original UK 1st pressed copy from 1969 in stereo on the Red/Plum Atlantic Superhype label, cat.
no.
588171 with A//1 and B//1 matrices.
only the very first pressings have the UNCORRECTED matrices.
All susequent issues have the second 8 crossed out and re-etched above.
Vinyl: The vinyl looks superb and has retained its original high sheen with hardly a mark to be seen.
It has clearly been well looked after and rarely played.
Under bright light I could just see a couple of very fine, wispy hairlines, but no scuffs or scratches.
I have played the entire record and it sounds fantastic.
The first press vinyl produces a huge, powerful sound with crisp seperation and absolutely no distortion.
I would mention that there is some soft background noise in the quiet parts and the run ins and outs, silent grooves and intros and a couple of very very light clicks.
Overall, both sides would grade as EX approaching NM.
There is nothing loud or intrusive anywhere.
I think it would be difficult to find many of these which would play as well as this.
Labels: Both labels look superb with no signs of damage, writing, stickers or tears and have very light spindle marking.
Sleeve Front Back: Laminated sleeve is lovely with very little wear and has a great shine.
It has been well cared for.
There are a few fine thumb creases in the laination near the opening and some light laminate creases around the edges and the spine.
There is hardly any discolouration.
Edge Wear: There is virtually no wear to the laminated edges and very minimal wear to the exposed parts.
The spine is solid and firm with just a few small creases.
The text is 100 readable.
Very light wear at the opening.
Corner Wear: There is just very light wear to some parts of the edges.
Inner Sleeve: Original poly lined Plastic bags can be dangerous inner has no splits or tears but the poly liner has detatched from the inside.
It has discoloured with age but is solid.
Many thanks for looking at this and our other vinyl to be auctioned.
Please note that all records we sell are listened to in their entirety and are graded generously according to Record Collector guidelines.
None of the vinyl has jumps or skips unless advised in the description.
