Item Description

LED ZEPPELIN 1 Vinyl LP issued 1969 1st Pressing - This is probably the Holy Grail for Led Zeppelin fanatics and somewhat rare.I bought this on its release, a genuine 1969 UK issue debut album for Led Zeppelin, pressed in late 1968 and released mid January 1969, 52 years ago.
The Front Cover logos for Led Zeppelin and Atlantic are in Turquoise, which implies that it is only one of approximately 2000 copies, prior to being withdrawn and replaced by the standard orange.
The sleeve also has the silver stripe at the bottom. The Matrix markings on the run-offs are 588171 A//1 - B//1 additional marking, 11 side A and 155 side B.
It has the Red Plum Centres of the early pressings The Copy shows that Superhype Music and Jewell Music are credited with the tracks, later albums show Warner Music is credited instead of Superhype.Although there are creases at the mouth of the sleeve and to the edging, it is in excellent condition, with the silver stripe.
see photos In terms of condition rating - I have no expertise in this, the records were played on a Technics turntable, with a weighted stylus.
Overall condition is good to very good condition is based on the that it looks clean, the centre is clean, no heavy spindle marking and the vinyl surfaces have some surface marks and light hairline scratches, due to heavy usage see photos Record play very well throughout both sides and still has the great depth of sound I remember.Delivery by Royal Mail 1st class Signed for , 1 to 2 working days.
