Item Description

This is an auction for an original copy of the debut record by Led Zeppelin released in the UK on Atlantic Records in 1969.
The Catalogue number is 588171.
The record has been in the family since its release and this is a reluctant sale.
Fully-laminated sleeve with Turquoise lettering and Silver Strip at bottom edge.
Uptight An Outasight information on rear.
What makes this a very rare copy is that the labels are different on each side of the disc.
Side 1 has the Superhype credits and Side 2 the Warners credit.
I have never seen another copy like this and I cannot find one listed anywhere.
This makes this record very rare indeed.
Tracks Are :- Side One Good Times Bad Times Babe I m Gonna Leave You You Shook Me Dazed And Confused Side Two Your Time Is Gonna Come Black Mountain Side Communication Breakdown I Can t Quit You Baby How Many More Times I have used the record collector grading system to grade the record and I have included this at the end of the listing.
The very rare original sleeve with the turquoise is in a nice Very Good condition.
It is free of writing or splits.
There is some laminate creasing and a small amount of laminate lift with a small bit 1cm on the spine which is still fully legible.
There is some light ring wear but overall it is a very nice example of this rare sleeve The vinyl is visually also in nice Very Good condition with some light marks and signs of play.
I have listened to the entire record and it plays through without any skips or jumps but it does crackle and there is some background noise.
I would describe the audio as Very Good.
It has the matrix numbers of 588171 A1 and 588171 B1 the 3rd digit of each matrix has been crossed and replaced The labels are in Very Good condition and free of writing.
There is some light spotting.
Overall a nice copy of this rare record.

Grading:- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.
The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced
