Superb original UK copy of extremely scarce EMI Columbia mono SX 6042 from 1966 there is no stereo , the Mike Taylor Quartet s beautiful debut, Pendulum. The LP has just a couple of superficial bag removal marks, so is graded at a very fussy NM-/Ex . 1G/1G mothers, first press. Perfect sound reproduction. The half laminated flipback G L jacket is a very clean NM-, tiniest wear to tips and a few light laminate creases at spine. The original crispy EMI inner bag NM is included, but the record has been kept, and will be sent in a new lined bag. A lovely copy of this very rare and very important LP. Absolutely essential for any collector of British jazz, Taylor s influence on the scene cannot be underestimated. Neil Ardley was an early supporter and via collaborators Jack Bruce and later, Ginger Baker, even the first supergroup , Cream. That he only lived to record two LPs remains a tragedy. Taylor s work was visionary, no doubt, pushing even Bill Evans. Evans lived to make many many records... Mike Taylor left us with only two... and they sold hardly at all. Bid hard, you ll not see one of these in this condition for a long time. Fabulous. You will not be disappointed. Sorry... I have said more than usual... but for good reason.
