Label: Verve Records V-5008 Mono
Year: 1967
Condition:
Vinyl: VG
Notes: Overall, the record is in decent shape with only a few minor surface marks and abrasions, but mostly light and superficial. Side one, track two has one small visible scratch that surprisingly plays clean, and side two has a superficial scuff, but again it played clean on my turntable, with only minor surface noise here and there, typical of lp s from this era.
The record comes in the original stock inner sleeve.
Cover: VG
Notes: The original banana sticker has obvious signs of being partially peeled and reapplied at some point, but is intact with a crease / split near the top.
The cover overall has some minor wear, staining and discoloration, with slight flaking along the edges and corners.
The top seams / corners have general flaking and corner wear, with a partial 3.5 split on the top back right gatefold, and minor split of the bottom center edge.

General Description:
This is a very rare 1st MONO NYC pressing of the iconic 1967 debut LP by the Velvet Underground Nico with the blue/silver Verve label lp, and original gatefold cover, complete with the Andy Warhol designed banana sticker on the front and the uncensored image of an upside down torso of Eric Emerson on the back of the cover. This album is notably one of the most influential albums in rock history, and overall is in great condition for a 1967 release.
