As with all their releases up to 1966, The Beatles had little say in the contents of the album. It did, however, contain two songs recorded especially for North American listeners: covers of Larry Williams Bad Boy and Dizzy Miss Lizzy, both of which were taped at Abbey Road on 10 May 1965.
The album was otherwise made up of songs from Beatles For Sale which Capitol chose to leave off Beatles 65, the Ticket To Ride b-side Yes It Is, and two tracks from the forthcoming UK version of Help : You Like Me Too Much and Tell Me What You See.
