I am the author of the three pages article on Wychfolk published in Record Collector magazine issue 444, September 2015 . The LP offered here is the copy unearthed in a Cheshire charity shop in December 2013 which I felt I had to research and eventually appeared in print along with my feature on the obscure but highly collectible Deroy private press record label. Only 130 copies of the LP were pressed in 1975. The band members can account for perhaps a dozen copies between them. This is only the third copy of Wychfolk s sole LP Circle Game ever to have been offered for sale on eBay. The two previous copies were sold in 2010 and 2015. You can check details on Popsike here:

The first copy ever offered for sale on eBay in 2010 sold for 410 and the second for 466. However, the vinyls were described by both sellers as only between VG to Ex and both had discoloured, stained and split sleeves. My copy is NEAR MINT for both vinyl and sleeves.
Deroy is a highly collectible record label with private pressings of prog, psych and folk fervently sought after and achieving high prices on eBay and elsewhere due to the fact that most releases were privately pressed by the artists and band themselves in very small runs, so there are too few original copies available to satisfy the burgeoning collector s market. First issue pressing LPs on Deroy are for sale on Discogs for huge sums. Folk albums by artists such as Pig Rider, Heterophonies 6,400, Bloody Turkey Sandwiches 4,918.
Here is a unique opportunity to acquire perhaps the rarest UK folk album in NEAR MINT condition, both sides of the vinyl and sleeve. it is doubtful that you will ever see a cleaner copy offered on eBay again. The vinyl is clean, shiny, free of any dust or fingerprints and plays beautifully without any crackle on both sides. The jacket is fully intact with crisp spine and open edges and along top and bottom edges. Minty fresh The front and back are printed cover slips pasted onto a stock plain white generic card album jacket. The black print is sharp and clean. Please see photos to see just how remarkably near mint this beautiful copy is in I suspect that the band s tutor to whom this copy is personally dedicated by hand on the back of the sleeve filed it away safely, perhaps having only played it once then forgot about it until he passed away in March 2013. I believe his copy ended up in a charity shop soon afterwards.
