The first copies of this record, like this one were pressed with the elusive black and gold labels. This was due to Parlophone changing the label design to the more well known black and yellow version. It is estimated that only 600 copies were ever pressed, making them extremely difficult to find. This first pressing also has the uncorrect publishing credit Dick James music for the songs I saw her standing there , Misery , Do you want to know a secret and There s a place . Later pressing were corrected to the Northern Songs Credit.

This copy is housed in a Ernest . J Day cover. With a large Stereo on the front top right corner. On the front right bottom corner is the photo credit for Angus McBean. Making this an original first pressing sleeve.

Condition

Sleeve - Front

The top left corner shows signs of rubbing / wear. This has caused a small amount of the laminate to lift on the spine. The central spine is nice and tight with no wear and perfectly readable. The top seem is tight with just a little rippling. Above the Stereo on the front is a tiny laminate crack. The top right corner has a little rubbing.

The bottom seem has a split on the right hand corner approx 4.7 cm long. The bottom left corner has a little rubbing. The opening edge shows signs of light wear.

Sleeve - Back

The rear of the sleeve has some foxing. The bottom locking tab is showing some signs of light feathering.

Record Side 1

The label show some light signs of wear. The spindle hole is in perfect condition. The vinyl surface has a few faint hairlines. The surface also has some light rubbing marks, the type caused by the inner sleeve. The vinyl still has a high gloss sheen No Major floors.

Record Side 2

The labels once again show some light wear with a little wear to the spindle hole. The vinyl has a couple of very faint hairlines. The surface also has some light rubbing marks, once again, the type caused by the inner sleeve. The vinyl still has a high gloss sheen. Once again, no major floors.

Audio: The record plays well all the way through with no skips or jumps but some crackling in place.

Sadly replacement inner sleeve.

Overall an extremely rare record in good condition. I have tried to show as much in the pictures as possible and i will try to answer any questions you may have. All photographs were taken in natural light has nothing has been altered in them.

I will happily post to any country in the world.
The postage service used for this record will have to be tracked and have insurance.

The record will be packed in a cruciform mailers. The record will be placed in a plain white inner sleeve. The sleeve and record will be separated to prevent seem splits.
