This record was part of a collection brought to me by the daughter of an RCA plant employee. Nearly all of the records in the collection were in MINT condition if not sealed. According to her, he would bring home records (multiples occasionally) from the plant to potentially give to family or friends, but almost all of them spent their entire life up til now sitting unplayed on bookshelves in a den. She didn't even remember them having a working turntable.
This record was never sealed. The RCA employee that this belonged to was working the press that manufactured the mono run of Vol. 4 and took this copy straight off the press. The supervisors then stamped the back of the LP with a promo stamp to allow him to take the copy from the plant.
So, here it is. The ONLY promo copy of this record to exist, unplayed and straight from the press via the pressman running the machine.
Record is NM, Sleeve is NM/VG+ (including promo stamp across back).
Record graded conservatively by sight, has never been played.
Good luck, and congratulations in advance to the fan who truly deserves to have this one-of-a-kind copy of one of the rarest Elvis LP's in the world.
