We are offering this Extremely Rare, and NEVER released to the public, promotional Only LP box set of the Kinks set titled God Save The Kinks It is said that there were only approx. 500 of these sets produced, I believe it was about half that
This was released to a few key radio Station program directors in selected markets to promote the soon to be released LP, at the time The Kinks: Village Green Preservation Society this was back in 1969.
In the set there were a number of goodies included
First, there is a copy of an LP titled Now,Then and In Between Reprise Catalog Number PRO 328 30,943 .
The Now Then In Between LP cover is in Excellent condition, NO ring wear whatsoever, and it still has a new shiny gloss. The cover does have a very small split at the very bottom center approx. an inch and a half.
The record is in a strong VG condition, it does have a few light surface marks,that do not affect play. It does play with a bit of background sound/noise, but mainly only heard between the tracks. The record plays very well throughout with no distracting noise. The original Reprise inner sleeve is in excellent condition.
The puzzle is complete, no missing pieces, see photo and it has the original baggy that it was housed in.
The Village Green Grass bag is included and is still sealed. The Sticker on it is in excellent condition.

A golden yellow 2 page fold-out A Consumer s Guide to the Kinks.
There also is a 2 page Warner Brothers letter from their Promotions department this I believe is reprint copy .
This set is missing a couple of things..
The God Save The Kinks sticker,
the little Union Jack flag ,
and the God Save the Kinks button,
As far as for the missing items The button and the Sticker turn up on eBay from time to time several times a year, actually these were made in much larger quantities to give out to record stores, so they can easily be found.
BUT THE POSITIVE POINT HERE IS THAT THIS SET HAS THE RARE COMPLETE PUZZLE AND THE BAG OF GRASS THOSE ITEMS I VE NEVER SEEN SOLD SEPARATELY,OUTSIDE THIS BOX.
Lid condition: The upper right, lower right, and lower left corners are split. The upper left corner is tight, undamaged.
All side spines of the lid are tight and intact, undamaged.
Front of lid is slightly caved.
Bottom of box: The upper left corner of the bottom of the box has a slight split. The other 3 corners of the bottom of the box are tight.
I have pictures of these splits. But eBay only allows 12 pictures, so 12 is all I have posted here. So, if you would like to see the pictures of these splits, message me and I will send them to you.
Over-all I would say it s pretty solid. I ve only ever have seen one other copy over the years, and it was in the same condition as this one.
This set is FAR Rarer than the Promo Pack that Reprise made for the Arthur Lp Kinks arrive in U.S.for First National Tour .
That LP turns up a couple times a year this Promo Box does NOT
