During its existence IA released 12 albums and 39 singles and was owned by a group of businessmen in Houston. Among its staff were producer Lelan Rogers, brother of country singer Kenny Rogers. The label is famous for its roster of well-known Texas psychedelic rockbands, including The 13th Floor Elevators, The Red Crayola and Bubble Puppy, as well as lesser known bands such as The Golden Dawn, Lost And Found and Endle St. Cloud. International Artists also released an album by blues guitarist Lightnin Hopkins that featured session work by the 13th Floor Elevators rhythm section.
The label originally folded in 1971, but was revived by Lelan Rogers in 1978. Rogers released a box-set that reissued all 12 albums.
11 of the 12 LPs in this set are STILL SEALED I OPENED 13TH FLOOR ELEVATORS BULL OF THE WOODS to check record label and to check sound quality to an original copy I own. The label are slightly different than original issues. Colors are the same Matrix s in the run off are also different than original issue, sound is clean and clear. The inside top cover corners have been reinforced by me with a sturdy cardboard for extra support. This was repaired recently by me for extra support and the grade on the top lid of box is VG see photos. The bottom part of the box is in VG condition.
This is the ONLY LEGITIMATE REISSUE of these LPs by IA. A true psych artifact.

International Artists Box Set - Various Artists 1979 12-LP box set Limited Edition 1000 . Includes the 12 original International Artists albums IA-LP-1 through IA-LP12 with original artwork. Covers appear to be from original artwork and pressings seem to be equivalent to original albums. Both the vinyl and the cardboard used for the covers are slightly thinner than the originals but not by very much. Excellent sound quality on the vinyl.
