There have been so few vinyl LPs produced over the last 5 years that you should never pass up the opportunity to upgrade your collection. They re each very limited in their pressings and disappear with extraordinary quickness from the vinyl market. This causes prices to skyrocket because once they are gone, they are gone forever Don t second-guess yourself with this chance to upgrade your collection because before you know it, the opportunity will have passed forever.
T. Rex s best album, ELECTRIC WARRIOR, distills the best elements of Marc Bolan s earlier acoustic period with a dynamic rock rhythm section--drummer Bill Legend and bassist Steve Currie--and lush arrangements by producer Tony Visconti.
Featuring the classics Bang a Gong Get It On , Jeepster, and Mambo Sun, ELECTRIC WARRIOR ranges from the space-blues of Lean Woman Blues to the punk-jazz of Rip Off, with a sound fleshed out by chamber strings and the falsetto harmonies of ex-Turtles and Mothers of Invention Howard Kaylan and Mark Volman. Zappa sideman Ian McDonald plays sax as well. Touches such as the arcing cellos of Cosmic Dancer and the sexy rhythms of Planet Queen perfectly bring to life Bolan s imaginative world of diamond star halos and shadowless horses. A must for any serious collector of British rock classics.
T. Rex - Wax Co. Singles A s B s 1972-77 THREE LP SET 180 GRAM -
180-gram audiophile vinyl
Insert with liner notes
Daub a bit of glitter on your cheekbones and become a star Marc Bolan of British Glam Rock band T. Rex did just that.
But it wasn t just his flamboyant personality, eerily good looks and enigmatic stage presence that made him one of the most popular artists of his time: he was a prolific songwriter and poet, and an inventive singer and guitarist to boot. In 1972 EMI signed this remarkable artist and created his own label for him: T. Rex Wax Co., on which he would release six albums in as many years, until Bolan s fatal car crash in 1977. This compilation is a collection of all the singles he cut for the label, and Music On Vinyl is the first to release it on vinyl.
With its excellent artwork and liner notes by Mark Paytress, The T.Rex Wax Co. Singles A s and B s 1972-77 is a great introduction for those less familiar with the British pioneers, and T. Rextasy for longtime fans

Rex - Unicorn Japanese Import - Limited Edition 200 gram PRESSING - The third Tyrannosaurus Rex album, and their debut U.S. release, Unicorn was also the first to steadfastly state the game plan with Marc Bolan had been patiently formulating for two years the overnight transformation from underground icon to above ground superstar. Not only does it catch him experimenting with an electric guitar for the first time on record, it also sees Steve Peregrin Took exchange his bongos for a full drum kit, minor deviations to be sure, but significant ones regardless.

T. Rex, from 1970, was the British band s first album under their abbreviated name. It follows their four albums under the name Tyrannosaurus Rex. T. Rex contains electric reworkings of the old Tyrannosaurus Rex material, though a significant portion of the material is new. This is the album that established the band as a major commercial success.

Rather than photographs the album cover was a busy painting by George Underwood depicting peoples and scenes typical of the mythological themes that Marc Bolan was so enthralled with. My People Were Fair contained mostly old songs, which Bolan originally intended for John s Children but had never recorded due to the breakup.

MARK BOLAN S ZIP-GUN 180 GRAM PRESSING -
The phenomenally popular and influential T. Rex spearheaded the glam-rock movement, a genre owing everything to its quintessential superstar, Marc Bolan. Rivaled only by Bowie, whose own glam period followed in their flamboyant footsteps, Bolan and T. Rex created an incredible vibe and sound whose legacy lives. Driven by primal grooves, effortless hooks, trippy vocals and deliciously fat guitar riffs, their music was both infused with hippie spirituality and raw sexuality - a rich, ripe, sonic delight both primitive and evolved. While their music defined an era, their irresistible grooves are timeless and Bolan s later, more experimental tracks, marrying pop genius with creative expansion and proto-punk power, underscore his groundbreaking artistry.

A group that reached the upper reaches of the pop charts in its native England 10 times in the 1970s, T. Rex certainly had enough material for a Greatest Hits compilation. Here they are all their best-loved songs with their trademark punch guitar riffs and Bolan s distinctive vocals.T-REX - THE SLIDER - LIMITED EDITION RED VINYL.
These FOREIGN pressings are sent with the vinyl outside of the jackets when being shipped to the U.S. to protect the covers from damage. Once inside the our wherehouse we then protectively seal the title in a loose re-sealable plastic cover to ensure the quality of the product. This title is brand new never played condition.
This is the height of Marc Bolan s songwriting ability and is one of those albums that flows seamlessly from the first song right through to the last. A perfect example of a classic rock album, it s boogie swagger and post hippie glam metal pop rock shake make it a firm soundtrack for the early seventies. There is so much good boogie pop rock that flows so easily from the fingertips of Mr. Bolan that no one ever really equalled T Rex in this genre of music.
Song highlights: Metal Guru - an anthem for the glam generation, The Slider - the title track and easily one of T Rex s greatest songs, Buick MacKane, Chariot Choogle - two irresistably catchy chug along rockers, Telegram Sam - probably the best known song from the album.

T.REX - TANX- .LIMITED EDITION NUMBERED TO 1000 PRESSING OF THIS CLASSIC MASTERPIECE. 180 GRAM HEAVY VINYL ANALOGUE PRESSING.
Originally released in 1973, TANX WAS FOR MANY THE LAST CLASSIC T.Rex album. Despite the band s continued popularity, the album inexplicably never had a hit single, even though songs like Born To Boogie would have found themselves at home at the top of the charts.
TANX finds the band expanding its sound with horns and R B style backup singers, but songs like the Street Babe Shadow and Highway Knees still deliver vintage T.Rex. Also includes a Poster
There were more successful T. Rex albums, but without any hit singles, this collection seems to win favor as the most cohesive and interesting. The album demonstrates that there is more to the Bolan catalog than Get It On and Telegram Sam. He was a fascinating lyricist.

Smashed Blocked 180 GRAM Vinyl John s Children Marc Bolan T Rex
An album collecting the material Marc Bolan recorded during his brief stint as lead singer of the short-lived 1966-68 mod psych band John s Children, although perhaps better known for their image and stage antics than their actual music apparently managing to upstage the kings of stage antics, the Who, and inspire generations of punk rockers . Their debut single Smashed Blocked was recorded by session men due to their lack of proficiency on their instruments, but by the time their second single Just What You ll Get was released things were looking up, featuring a solo by Jeff Beck on But She s Mine the singles B-side. Bolan joined the group soon after and recorded the single Desdemona banned by the BBC for its controversial lyrics . 180 gram virgin vinyl.
