Labels :
Classic UK Original Black Gold M T Northern Songs 1st Press labels Both sides are FANTASTIC with minimal signs of age, NO writing, NO stickers, and NO tears whatsoever Just has a small amount of ultra light spindle wear from light use over the years AWESOME for a 53 year old record Both must grade overall as Very Good
Record : Visual -
Spectacular Original 1963 UK Northern Songs 1st Press Vinyl Nice bright, clean and shiny as if it was just pressed Fantastic jet black mirror like surfaces, it looks GREAT with NO excessively nasty marks, NO deep scratches that ruin playback, and NO groove damage either It just has a few of the usual light, wispy sleeve traces, some obvious but still fairly light minor marks and scuffing, and just a few mild hairlines only visible in angled light mostly from where it has sat or been removed from it s cover over the years Of course, none of these blemishes interfere with play AT ALL, and they CERTAINLY don t effect the smoothness of it s playing Used, but still BRILLIANT for a record of this age and rarity Must grade overall visually at the least as Good graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not overgraded AT ALL Customer satisfaction is of 100 importance to me
Record : Audio -
Thankfully, it plays BRILLIANTLY with fantastic mono blast and clarity It really sounds awesome with NO hisses, hops, skips OR sticks Only like pretty much ALL records has just a mere touch of the lightest crackle here and there and only a few ultra light ticks here and there on rare occasions, and just a hint of low level ultra light bluesman s fag atmospheric static in few and far between places such as on some of the quieter sections like the run in grooves and between some tracks e.t.c, but it TRULY doesn t overshadow the music AT ALL I d even argue it gives it added soul And that s truly about it The vast, vast majority of the music is ultra clear and sounds ABSOLUTELY AWESOME with that bass, depth, warmth and clarity you can only get from 1963 UK Parlophone vinyl An outstanding listen Absolutely ESSENTIAL ASTONISHING for a record of this age and rarity Must grade overall audibly at the least as Very Good graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL Customer satisfaction is of 100 importance to me
Sleeve :
Original far-right Angus McBean credit UK 1st press 1963 Mono front laminated flipback E.J Day sleeve complete with original inner only a small hole to the centre of the plastic, otherwise unsplit and the original from 1963 with the patents applied for text IMPOSSIBLE to find this sleeve in anything approaching a good condition - most are spent, torn and worn due to age and the lifestyles of the buyers of this particular LP This one is NOT, and looks BRILLIANT, especially considering the nature of these fragile sleeves NO really bad marks AT ALL, and still ultra strong and solid after all these years Only has a few signs of usual light ageing such as just a some light creases and the merest hint of a record imprint, a small name to the top of the front and some usual minor ageing to the unlaminated back such as a little dulling with some ruffling to the bottom flipback tip and the very vagues ink to the top right flipback no nasty marks or anything drastic whatsoever , a touch of denting/rounding to the four corners which basically ALL vintage LP s have, and POSSIBLY just to be sure one or two other minor signs of age here and there, though nothing that really stands out to note at all And that s truly about it I tend to bring it down by listing every negative I can possibly find, but this remains a truly brilliant sleeve the iconic front pic looks AWESOME , and a SERIOUS rarity to find one as beautifully presentable as this - most have been virtually destroyed or are just about being held together, but not this one It remains ultra strong, solid, unsplit and unspoilt, and even the spine remains ultra strong, solid, unsplit and 100 readable Must grade overall at least as Good graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL Customer satisfaction is of 100 importance to me
Summary : A BRILLIANT sounding beautifully presentable example of this PHENOMENALLY RARE Black Gold Northern Songs iconic classic Mono UK 1st Press debut LP Hard to find in any condition, but IMPOSSIBLY RARE TO FIND ONE AS SONICALLY AWESOME AS THIS YOU MAY NEVER GET THE CHANCE AGAIN, so don t miss out on this scarce opportunity to own a true piece of 60 s/70 s music history Bid now

I ve realized that most countries have their own unique grading system. I base mine strictly on the UK RRPG grading system occasionally with a or a - to indicate the higher and lower ends of the grade, though I only use these if i m having real trouble deciding , so please check their chart for further clarity if you are unsure of what my grades mean. As a general rule, a mint record will be 100 perfect, an excellent record will be in fantastic clean condition with the occasional mild mark and minor use from the years, and a very good record will have noticeable, yet light visual markings and obvious signs of age and use, but will still remain clean with relatively light wear and will play fantastically well with plenty of life remaining in it. I very rarely offer records below the very good region unless they are of an EXCEPTIONAL rarity and playing quality...I hope this helps
