RARELY OFFERED, BLACK SILVER ONE E.M.I. BOX SECOND PRESSING MANUFACTURED BY E.M.I. IN THE UK FOR EXPORT MARKETS ONLY.
This is the rare, second pressing on the Black Silver Parlophone Label with one E.M.I. Box Logo Vinyl LP for The Beatles Penultimate UK album release, Abbey Road, pressed in the UK for EXPORT MARKET ONLY and not available to purchase anywhere in the UK at the time of release.
This rare 2nd Issue UK Export Vinyl LP is on the traditional Black Silver One E.M.I. Box Parlophone label, with Gramophone Co Ltd label rim, Made in Gt Britain , and the UK Export Catalogue Number PPCS 7088 printed to both record labels.
Both record labels have the Decca Records style deep grooves. Side 1 record label is in very nice Excellent condition, unfaded record label with just a few centre spindle lines.
Side 2 record label is in Very Good Plus condition, there are a couple of rub marks to the printed text, see scan and some blemishes.
The side 1 matrix is YEX 749-2. and Side 2 YEX 750-1.
Side 1 stamper numbers are, 7 and side 2, 1, there are no visible stamper letters on either side.
Both sides of the vinyl LP are in Very Good Plus condition, the vinyl surfaces are very clean and free from any deep scratches, and show just a few light surface hairline scratches on each side.
The LP plays with a fine sound quality through all of the tracks, with a powerful stereo sound quality, there are no skips, with just some background static/crackle more noticeable on the intro s and the quieter tracks and more noticeable on side 2, nevertheless overall a really enjoyable sound quality from the rare Export LP..
The LP comes in its original white Made in England Inner bag. and is housed in it s original UK Abbey Road Sleeve manufactured by Garrod Lofthouse International Ltd and is fully laminated with the Gold Parlophone Sticker placed over the Apple Logo on the reverse of the sleeve. The sleeve is a very nice example in Excellent condition, no major damage to the sleeve with just LP indentation to the front panel and light corner bumps, the sleeve still retains it s rich and deep high gloss shine to both sides and all edges are free from splits.
A very nice example of this rare and seldom seen Beatles UK Export Album Release.
