1973 Ginger Lp • Original • Rare Minnesota Psych Rock

This 12” diameter, 33 1/3 rpm vinyl record is Ginger (with Bob Edwards), Cheap Swank #S80-423-2676 ©1973, with both original inserts. Has generic white jacket with light dirt staining but no structural issues. The record’s playing surfaces look like new but for a very small number of hairlines. I’ll call it VG++ to be safe but expect it to play at a near mint level.Said to be from a private label edition of 100 and listed in Pokora’s “2001 Record Collector Dreams” book with a 5 star rarity rating. Originally (like my example), the album came in a plain white jacket with two inserts. Later copies have a flyer pasted to the front of the jacket. The album was a tribute to Bob Edwards, their lead singer, who died accidentally at age 21. Side one consists of live recordings from bars and practices which featured Bob. Side two contains original tracks written by surviving band members and recorded using Bob’s twin brother Bruce for vocals.
