The Pink Floyd-The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn LPHere we have a lovely original copy of this ultra rare Mono,very early 1st issue of this classic Psyche album from 1967 on Columbia records,cat number SX 6157.It s got the blue/black labels with blue musical note logo, Sold In The UK.....
text,KT tax stamp,EMI inner sleeve,flip back laminated sleeve WITHOUT the File Under Pop Groups text,only the very earliest pressings are missing this.Matrix numbers are....Side 1....XAX 3419-2...Stampers 1MSide 2...XAX 3420-1..Stampers 1G Condition-Vinyl.......V.good ,super glossy vinyl,superb labels,no writing or stickers.There s probably 6-8 very small light surface marks,nothing that you can feel.On play back the sound is clear and crisp for the most part,with some crackle between tracks and on some quiet bits.On a couple of tracks,especially Interstellar Overdrive there is some distortion noticable,I ve had this before on some older Mono albums,sometimes a different needle can rectify this,also I have nt cleaned it at all,as it looks great anyway,maybe it would benefit from a deep clean,it is 48 years old Sleeve....Ex,iconic design flip back sleeve WITHOUT the File Under Popular Groups text.On the front there is a very small amount of ring wear and some small creases to edges,the opening is very good without hardly any wear.The rear of sleeve is in stunning condition,all 3 laminated edges are fully intact with just the smallest surface creases,and a tiny bit of wear to the corners.The main part of the back looks brilliant,nice dark blacks and clear greys and whites.Just the smallest amount of rubbing wear to one area,I m being picky really.Comes with original EMI inner sleeve advertising others records,this has a slightly yellow look to it,but I think it did when new OVERALL....A really,really nice not perfect ,example of very rare,much sought after album,priced to sell.Please have a look at my other great Floyd album for sale.All albums are posted in professional cruciform cardboard mailers,buy with confidence.
