PLEASE READ BELOW DESCRIPTION FOR POSTAGE COSTS BEFORE BIDDING and WAIT FOR INVOICE BEFORE PAYING,THANKS.IF ANY IMAGES ARE MISSING , THEY WILL BE ADDED TO THE BOTTOM OF THE LISTING SHORTLYPINK FLOYD : THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON Very Rare UK 1st Press complete with Correct early issued Garrod Lofthouse Matt Midnight Blue Gatefold Cover with promo sticker attached, Original black poly-lined inner sleeve with white lower print, 2 Original Posters with white border, 2 original night and day pyramid stickers and the very earliest 1st pressed vinyl with the solid blue labels all in SUPERB CONDITION Most music lovers will be aware of this all time classic lp which has broken so many world records in sales, charts, popularity statistics etc etc a personal favourite of mine This masterpiece was released in March 1973 but the band had played several numbers on the circuit in 1972 under the title Eclipse - A piece for assorted Lunatics A fantastic creation of Genius that deals with the burdons of everyday life that drive people to insanity There are many releases of this album in just about every country but this is the holy-grail original UK 1st Pressing with the quickly withdrawn solid blue triangle label variant which was quickly re-worked to the transparant variant - due to the difficulty in reading the track listings This example carries the correct Matrix Nos A-2 / B-2 which are only found on the very 1st presses of this masterpiece EMI / HARVEST CAT No SHVL 804 MATRIX NOs MOTHER / STAMPS SHVL 804 A-2 / SHVL 804 B-2 1 M 3 RD COVER This is an original matt midnight blue Garrod Lofthouse gatefold cover, right-hand side opening.
This cover has some light storage marks on the front top and some ring wear to the rear, also has a tiny tiny red sticker on the inside on the heart beat lines, hardly noticable Allthough it has these minor issues, it s still a very clean and solid example and looks alot better in the flesh And a genuine blue earliest thick carded issue I have taken pictures with a flash to highlight the condition and to show the true blue tint which can only be found on these very early 1st issues but it does look better in person.
The spine is sill very solid and the inside is other than metioned perfect.
The round promo sticker is still attached in the upper left hand corner and there are no tears, writing or nasty stains present All in all a true original in clean and solid condition with just a little storage marks see-pics VERY GOOD PLUS CONDITION VINYLBoth sides still retain a deep rich glossy shine and look extremely clean and fresh with glass like playing surfaces with no immediate visable marks.
Upon close inspection under my halogen light, only a couple of super faint surface hairlines are just in so visable, these are very hard to see and harmless.
There are No scratches, scuffs or blemishes visable on either side.
This is reflected in the audio quality, as all tracks sound very clear and bright throughout.
Tiny little crackle on the quiter passes / inbetween tracks and intros but this is wax and was probably there from new as there s no evidance of groove wear or surface marks.
This trully is a superb looking and sounding example that has been very well cared for see-pics Visualy and Audibly EXCELLENT / EXCELLENT PLUS CONDITION LABELS Original earliest solid blue triangle both labels are in super clean condition with no stickers, writing, stains or wear to the centre hole there are some faint mis-aimed spindle traces but only visable on angled viewing in direct light.
Overall a very clean and bright set see-pics EXCELLENT CONDITION INNER Original black poly-lined inner sleeve with Patent No and Made in Great Britain in white print on the lower edge .
