Item Description

PINK FLOYD - PULSE 4 vinyl LP set Rare and highly sought after 1995 original UK pressing progressive rock gem in superb, barely played condition with equally near perfect packaging Matrix Numbers :Record 1 Side 1 8327011 A - 5 -1 -1 machine stamped 7243 - 8327011 - 8 - A - 5 hand etched Side 2 8327011 A - 2 -1 -1 machine stamped 7243 - 8327011 - 8 - XXXX hand etched Record 2 Side 1 7243 - 8327021 7A - 3 hand etched Side 2 7243 - 8327021 - 7 - B - 2 hand etched Record 3 Side 1 7243 - 8327031 - 6 - A1 hand etched Side 2 7243 - 8327031 - 6 - B4 hand etched Record 4 Side 1 7243 - 8327041 - 5 - A1 hand etched Side 2 7243 - 8327041 - 5 B - 3 hand etched It s difficult to know where to start in describing this wonderful offering, comprising FOUR barely played, gleaming vinyls each packaged within it s own inner and outer cardboard sleeve, along with an immaculate, superbly illustrated 52 page hardbound book and all held within an impressive single opening thick cardboard box.Each vinyl is simply superb, bright and shiny and with a gorgeous gleam.
I have held each side of each vinyl in a bright light to try to identify any blemishes and all I could find was some small areas of slight darkening on side 1 manufacturing , a 3mm pencil thin mark on the opening track of side 2 which resulted in a single mild background click, and the occasional barely distinguishable paper scuff.
All of the grooves on all of the sides remain perfectly defined.
In short, a joy to behold Similarly, each label on each side is pristine.
Not even the usual rogue faint spindle trace adjacent to the centre hole.
Perfect Each vinyl comes in a wonderfully illustrated and artworked inner and outer eight in total therefore , each one of which remains in beautiful as new condition.
No creasing, no tears, no splits, and even the corners of each remain perfectly defined.
Remarkable. Then there is the 52 page hardbound book, full of relevant information relating to the concerts, musicians, backup crew, dates and venues from which these tracks were taken and accentuated by 50 pages of mind blowing photographs.
This book is like new - not even the hint of a single crease.
It even smells like new And of course there is the thick cardboard box receptacle.
No splits or tears, no nasty marks or unwanted writing.
But there is just a little, occasional, mild shelf wear/scuffing along the edges which is most pronounced at one corner see photo .
Excellent at least .And finally there is the quality of the audio, which is simply stunning Beautiful tone with great clarity.
Not even the merest hint of any distortion even at higher pitch and higher volume.
I played this record in it s entirety on my Pioneer PL-X99 turntable with a brand new diamond stylus and the reproduction was perfect.

Run Like HellIn summary, a true rarity of this now deleted LP 7243 8 32700 1 9/ EMD 1078 , the superb condition of which only adds to it s scarcity and future value potential.Or, in other words, a progressive rock fan s dream come true If you require any further information, including photos, then let me know and I ll do my best to oblige.
If this record interests you then take a look at my other listings for more 50 s, 60 s and 70 s classic vinyl.
A bit about myself : I have been collecting vinyl for more than 45 years and have amassed a huge collection covering a varied genre, but mostly of 1960 s and 70 s origin.
Most of my records were originally bought by myself for my own collection, but over the years I have embellished my collection by buying records from a variety of sources : friends/acquaintances, car boots, auctions, and even through putting up a vinyl wanted notice in my wife s shop I never intended selling any of my records but now I am retired and a combination of space requirements caused partly by duplication and a need to help fund my retirement has prompted me to rationalise my record collection and sell many of my much loved gems.
My ebay feedback speaks for itself so rest assured that you are buying from a trusted seller and in the very unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase just e-mail me and I ll sort out the problem.
I offer a no quibble refund policy.
On the subject of postage, I take great care in the packaging of all items, using a proper vinyl cardboard mailer along with at least two cardboard stiffeners.
I take great care in removing the record from the outer sleeve in order to prevent sleeve damage in transit.
I do NOT profiteer from postage costs.
I DO take great care in minimising all risk thereby ensuring, as far as possible, that your purchase reaches it s destination in exactly the same condition as when I post it.
For this item postage packaging will be Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for : UK 8, continental Europe 14, and Rest of the World 20.
I do discount post packaging costs for multiple purchases.
Good luck with your bidding.

The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

On 02-Dec-16 at 17:58:34 GMT, seller added the following information: I have just noticed that one of the thinner inner inners ie an inner which holds the vinyl and which is in turn housed in a cardboard inner, has a small 3cm seam slit half way down one side.
It s barely noticeable hence me missing it first time around and does not impinge upon the overall superb presentation as described above, but nonetheless I feel that I should mention it.
Apologies for not spotting sooner.
Richard
