Record Grading
Sealed : Only used for sealed
records... Sealed records are assumed to be mint
but, since they re sealed, I can t tell the condition for sure It is good practice to guess the condition to be Near Mint.
Near Mint NM : No obvious signs of play / wear. Pretty much seems new , but is not sealed.
Very Good Plus VG : May be a few light scuffs or marks but nothing that should affect the sound.
Very Good VG : Light scratches, slight background noise possible.
VeryGood Minus VG- : Record plays without skipping but does have surface
noise. Scratches, scuffs and groove wear all possible on this condition.
Good G : Rough but tuff, Record plays without skipping but does have Lot
of surface noise. Scratches, scuffs and groove wear all possible on this
condition.
Good G : Plays any problem with big noise or press error...
OK : Plays any problem with deep
scratch, crack, skipping.. for serious collectors only..
