WAY BEYOND RARE ...
Turning up far less than similar big league monster status legends such as C.Q. Quintet, Madrigal, The Rising Storm, Music Emporium, Mystic Siva, etc. etc. which are seen available every so often Flood is not around, at least anymore. A used copy of Flood was last listed some 5 years ago in 2011 -- a sign of incredible rarity ...
Obviously no more than a couple hundred copies were pressed, even if, where d they go? Hardly any oft he worlds hard core elite garage, psych collectors have this lost relic, and finding a copy sealed unplayed is a futile impossibility. Heres a lone exception...
Probably stored for many many years in a warehouse, and basically forgotten, a SEALED never opened copy of THE RISE OF FLOOD is available in a one-off chance shot ... The Flood Lp on the other hand was last listed 5 years ago in
2011, a sign of incredible rarity ...
Flood were an act based in
New York City, their sole album issued only as a private
label in 1970. The garage flavored psych album contains some killer
fuzz guitars in the long-lost late 60s /early 70s tradition of collected psych rarities, delivering some bluesy
workouts with a gritty feel on occasion. The entire Lp encapsulates self
compositions in a raw edge rock stew. Highlights of the Lp include interesting instrumentations which
offer a clear stripped down sound of the bass, percussion s and
always riffing fuzz guitar work -- altogether developing a
certain groove and dynamic. The album must have been pressed in low
numbers as has never really been around save the odd copy that pops up
every once every several years, or so.

CONDITION: STILL FACTORY SEALED with delete drill at bottom left. Figure it s been stored in a warehouse or basement for the past 46 years and that accounts for the fine dust or compounds that have settled under the sealed cellophane wrapper. The cause of this is due to the changing of the seasons, in this case having gone through 46 or near a half century of winters and summers. The good news is best we can assess the fine particles should be removable by wiping off with a soft cloth, but of course cannot guarantee 100 a complete success. Thought about opening the album, thought about keeping it for personal collection, then finally decided to auction it off to the collector who wants it most. Still has sharp corners, light crease on lower left bottom corner, no split seams, no writing, no fade, and has an old price sticker at top right.
Best case scenario: is to not hold your breath until the next copy becomes available...
A GREAT ADDITION TO ANYONE S COLLECTIBLES
