This is a UK Original press of Electric Ladyland by the Jimi Hendrix Experience. This press has the early A1/B2/A2/B2 matrix, the matt, flat Track labels. Both records have the original polylined inner sleeves and the early white text Track fully laminated Ernest J Day gatefold sleeve. Released in 1968, this was Hendrix third and final album and was the only album to be produced under his supervision. Under Ebay policy we are unable to show images of the sleeve.
The vinyl is in Excellent condition. The heavy vinyl is jet black with a stunning bright gloss. There is no whitening of the grooves or any sign of heavy play at all. There are just a couple of the very lightest wispy marks on each side. The vinyl is in superb condition. The labels are also superb. The black is extremely solid, the silver text is sharp and there is only the slightest spindle wear. Both records are complete with their original polylined inner sleeves.
Both records sit completely flat on the turntable and when played the sound is rich, vibrant and very clear. There is the slightest crackle here and there but this does nothing to spoil the enjoyment at any point. There is Excellent audio separation and clarity throughout. The vinyl still has the original, play it loud, bold sound.
The laminated gatefold Ernest J Day sleeve is in Very Good condition. The laminate has a sensational mirrored shine. The colours are warm and bright and the black is exceptionally bold. There is a little wear to the top edge. The inside is extremely bright, the laminate still crackles when opened and the images are sharp. The edges are still firm and the whole sleeve is solid.
