On offer here is a VERY rare LP especially in this condition by Free called Tons Of Sobs and is an ORIGINAL 1969 UK Pressing on the RAREST EVER Textured Pink Island Block label THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND THIS WAS FREE S FIRST RAREST LP EVER - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE BACK IN 1969 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS, AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND INCREDIBLY TOUGH TO LOCATE TODAY BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL - IS THAT IT IS THE ALL TIME RAREST PRESSING EVER MADE AND THIS IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ON THIS LP TOWARDS THE END OF 1969 ISLAND CHANGED THEIR LABELS FROM THE CIRCLE LOGO TO THE BLOCK ISLAND LOGO INSTEAD. HOWEVER, CLEARLY THEY WERENT HAPPY WITH THIS LABEL AS IT ONLY LASTED ABOUT 1 MONTH - AND ALMOST IMMEDIATELY CHANGED IT AGAIN TO THE VERY COMMON PINK i LOGO LABEL WHICH WAS USED THROUGHOUT THE REST OF 1969 AND THROUGHOUT 1970. AND WHEN THIS BLOCK LOGO LABEL WAS USED - FREE WAS STILL FAR FROM BECOMING FAMOUS, AND SALES OF THEIR FIRST LP THIS ONE WERE STILL EXTREMELY POOR THEIR BIG HIT ALL RIGHT NOW DIDN T COME UNTILL 1970 - AND THIS IS WHY SALES OF THIS LP ON LATER PINK i LOGO WERE GOOD, AND THE PINK i LOGO COPIES ARE VERY COMMON INDEED YOU SEE THEM ALMOST EVERY WEEK . The record labels are in GREAT condition see pictures with NO stickers, minimal grubbyness, NO writing, and only a few light spindle marks The vinyl is in GREAT condition overall - and still VERY bright shiny looking indeed Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO nasty concentric marks AT ALL, only 3 or 4 slightly more visible but NOT feelable with a finger tip hairlines, only 2 or 3 MEGA light scufflines, only a few VERY light hairlines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL JUST PRESSED LOOK It is also great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO skips, only a few VERY light clicks, NO sticking, NO jumps, barely ANY crackle, and only some slight background sound on the run on grooves gaps - though this is lost WAY behind ALL but the VERY quietest parts of the music ONLY And as most of this LP is very VERY loud indeed, this is almost irelevant The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO groovewear and NO distortion either The record must grade Good PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed if not better - and is still a very VERY presentable record indeed AND REMEMBER - THE CHANCES OF EVER FINDING ANOTHER ONE ON THIS LABEL AGAIN ESPECIALLY AN ULTRA RARE EXPORT ARE VIRTUALLY ZERO Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to Brillant The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve which is in BRILLIANT condition The ORIGINAL 1st Press E.J.Day Gatefold Stickered Cover is in absolutely BRILLIANT condition It has NO splits, NO sticker marks, NO edge wear apart from some almost INVISIBLE touching in traces , NO sticker tears, NO spinal wear apart from 1 TINY touched in trace - and side words PERFECT , NO rips, NO tears, only VERY slight corner wear NOT through the colour , NO ringwear, barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, only a VERY few light creases cover is VERY flat looking indeed , NO annotations, and NO writing The opening edges are beautifully straight with barely ANY feathering AT ALL Even the inside of the cover is in BRILLIANT condition with NO grubbyness, NO rubbing, NO ringwear, NO yellowing, and NO writing The cover must grade Very Good if not better BRILLIANT COVER THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE ESPECIALLY AS THE ALL TIME RAREST PRESSING EVER MADE, 500 COPIES ONLY, AND AN ULTRA RARE EXPORT - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY
