THE BEATLES - IN ITALY First released in the summer of 1965 this early 2nd pressing is on the black silver Parlophone label: PMCQ 31506 This mono album consists of songs performed in their 8 Italian concerts, performed in 4 days during their 1965 European tour Matrix numbers: XX 9009 1 13.7.65 XX 9010 1 13.7.65 Vinyl weight: 154g Housed in an outer laminated gatefold cover which opens to reveal The Beatles performing on-stage at the Velodromo Vigorelli , Milan This copy comes complete with its original clear polythene inner-sleeve CONDITION Disc Labels: EXCELLENT A clean unworn set with minimal light spindle trials around each unworn centre hole.
Visual: VERY GOOD Both playing surfaces are clean with just some wispy paper scuffs consistent with inner-sleeve removal visible in strong daylight but no scratches or any heavy marks.
Closer inspection directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp add no further blemishes or wear to this well looked-after disc.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT This great sounding copy has received a minimal amount of play on good equipment and my play-check found no evidence of any groove/playwear or any other noticeable audible faults or wear.
Cover: EXCELLENT A highly respectable example of this attractive, fragile cover.
The delicate front leaf is fully intact with some light storage rubbing to its high-gloss laminate, but no creasing or wrinkles of any kind.
There is a touch of shelfwear to the lower edge but no tears or heavy bumps or bruising to any of the corners.
The inside of the gatefold is in great shape with only noticeable blemish being a small mark towards the lower edge of the left panel which also bears the original retailer s sticker.
The rear panel is as clean and as striking as the front with again some light storage rubbing an unavoidable light disc impression.
The spine is clean fully worded and there are no splits at either end of the fragile central hinge.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT - Some storage folds a number 4 written in the centre of one side.
