Michael Jackson - Off the Wall, Made in Japan, CBS/Sony, 35 8P-2, Very Rare CD!

Item Description

This listing is for a very rare, out-of-print, early pressing, non-Target CD version of Micheal Jackson's album popular album Off The Wall. This version was made in Japan by CBS/Sony Records on the Epic label for the USA market. It contains two early and original mixes of "Rock With You" and "Get On The Floor" not contained on later releases. Audiophiles often consider early pressing CDs to be the best sounding.

I tested this CD using the Exact Audio Copy (EAC) program and no errors were found. Here is a description of the condition and contents:

• The CD grades as Good. The playing surface has some mostly small marks/scratches, and it appears this CD has been cleaned, buffed, or polished. The label side is relatively clean with several small, light marks/scratches.
  
• The booklet grades as Very Good/Excellent. It has a nice appearance with the exception of light bending on the top edge, a slight partial case impression on the other edge, and a tiny corner bend on left corner of the back cover.
  
• The spines on the edge of the rear tray inlay are both nice with minimal fading of the red lettering.
  
• The matrix number is 35 8P-2 61B6. The words "Manufactured by CBS/Sony Records Inc." are stamped on the plastic hub.
  
• The jewel case is smooth-sided. It has moderate to heavy wear, and the words "Patent pending" are embossed on the back of the case. It may be the original case.
