A Very British Synthesizer Group is a four-disc sound and vision anthology of multi-million-selling synth pioneers The Human League. Bringing together all of the hits as well as previously unreleased demos and edits it covers the entire history of the band from their emergence as futuristic outriders of a new post-punk sound, through the phenomenon of Dare and 80s chart dominance, their incredible 90s renaissance and ascendance to their current position as one of the most glorious and glamorous live acts in the country.
Of the hit singles on CDs 1 and 2, seven appear as previously unreleased DJ edits, while CD3 is comprised entirely of 17 exclusive and previously unreleased mixes. The DVD contains 21 promo videos from this most visual of bands, plus 24 BBC performances, many previously unreleased, from Top Of The Pops, Wogan and Later With Jools. The box set also comes with a 58-page hardback book featuring a new essay from Bowie / Kraftwerk biographer David Buckley, memorabilia and rare photos. The art direction and sleeve illustrations come from renowned Sheffield artist Pete McKee.
This is classed as a super deluxe edition of the Human League Anthology: A Very British Synthesizer Group . This is the definitive collection of the Human League, band from Sheffield who in 2017 will celebrate forty years of activity. Will be released on November 18 and will be available in multiple formats: the standard version will include all individuals including seven DJ / radio edit versions available for the first time in a group of release the super deluxe edition that will contain, in addition to two CDs with the successes, a third compact disc of rarities and a DVD with video clips and a collection of twenty-one their appearances on the BBC Top of the Pops broadcast, Mainstream, Wogan, On The Road and Later ... with Jools Holland a triple LP remastered Half Speed Mastering at Abbey Road Studios in London by Miles Showell digital download.
The super deluxe edition will include a book of 58 pages with a new essay by David Buckley David Bowie - Strange Fascination , Kraftwerk - Publikation , memorabilia and rare photos, the double CD a more succinct booklet of twenty pages. A Very British Synthesizer Group will review each stage of the Human League career, from the first EP The Dignity of Labour the latest album Credo , published in 2011 by the label Wall of Sound.
