1969 stereo EMI Harvest SHVL 762 first, self titled LP by Bakerloo.
Gatefold laminated outside only sleeve, glossy carded insides. The left side flap is glued with the right open to accept the vinyl and inner sleeve. No rips, splits, tears, markings or writing that I can see. Shows some minor age related browning on the front mouth opening edge, spine corners and inner fold. Corners are square with a modicum of wear on the spine ends but the spine itself shows no fraying along its length thanks no doubt to the lamination. Top left of the rear sleeve has a touch of a crease. Overall is pretty clean and solid for 48 years young and I rate it 8.5 /10 for condition it would not embarrass any record shelf.
The vinyl labels are nice and clean with no EMI which denotes an original issue. Spindle holes are tight with evidence of just a handful of plays as witnessed by the spindle snail tracking when searching for the hole.
On the adjacent run-off grooves, the machine etching shows SHVL 762 A-3U for side 1 and SHVL 762 B-3U for side 2.
As for the vinyl itself, it is flat with no dishing and fresh and shiny in appearance. At first glance it looks minty but of course needs to be angled under a searching light to check further. So, in this particular case the plastic shows faint scuff marks caused by erstwhile poor handling and removal and insertion in the inner sleeve over the years including ironically to check condition . I am by necessity playing the devils advocate as it really is in decent nick and I give the vinyl an EXC- rating or 8 /10 numerically.
Finally, the inner sleeve is the EMI Harvest original which depicts other available prog etc. LPs of the time. Is in good intact condition as the pics show and I give it 8 /10 for condition to allow for the creasing and minimal age browning.
