PRETTY THINGS, S.F. SORROW, 1968 FIRST PRESSING, MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN COLUMBIA RECORD LABEL STEREO LP.
Catalogue No. SCX 6306.

S.F. Sorrow is the fourth album by the British rock group The Pretty Things. Released in 1968 and recorded at Abbey Road Studios, it is one of the first rock concept albums.

Based on a short story by singer Phil May, the album is structured as a song cycle, telling the story of the main character, Sebastian F. Sorrow, from birth through love, war, tragedy, madness, and the disillusionment of old age.

This is another super clean, immaculate and well cared for example of this rare Stereo Album Release from The Pretty Things, released in 1968 on the original Blue/Black with Silver Printed Text, Columbia Record Labels with 1 G-1 A Stampers, with original E.M.I. inner LP bag and a First Issue E.J. Day Ltd London, Gate-fold Picture Sleeve with two Orange internal Flip-Backs at the top and two White Flip-Backs at the bottom in the centre Gate-Fold.

Side 1 matrix and stampers, YAX 3738-1 1 G. Side 2, YAX 3739-1 1 A.

The LP plays with an extremely clear and faultless sound quality through all tracks.

Both record labels have Gramophone Co Ltd Label Rim, with Sold in UK Label Text, and Made in Great Britain on both sides.

Both record labels and both vinyl surfaces are in beautifully, well cared for Mint Minus condition. The record labels are super clean with minimal signs of play with just a couple of light centre spindle lines. The LP surfaces are beautiful on both sides with just a couple of hairlines.

The original E.M.I. inner LP bag is in Mint Minus condition, no splits, no tears, no creases, just perfect. The Gate-Fold Picture Sleeve is also in immaculate Near Mint condition with perfect edges and spine edge, with a perfect Gate-Fold centre with just a hand written date at the top left corner. The back panel of the sleeve shows mild LP storage signs.
