This is an original UK FIRST PRESSING of BLUE by the
John Dummer band Featuring Nick Pickett. It is on the superb Swirls/Spiral Vertigo record label .
Vertigo records is without doubt the most collectible record label in the world.
This LP is one of the more difficult to find Vertigo LP s and to to find one with a decent sleeve
is near impossible . As you can see this album has a very delicate die cut sleeve and most of
the ones you come across will be damaged due to its delicate nature. This sleeve is a corker
None of those delicate pieces on the front are damaged .It does have the very slightest edge ware
but no ring ware at all. All of the spinal writings are there and a crystal clear. The sleeve is EXCELLENT.
Double click the pictures and you will see the normally white label has a pink tinge to it . I think as soon as
this LP was pressed the record must have been left resting on the sleeve for some time because the
red from the sleeve has transferred onto the label on side 2.Both sides of this LP have hairlines and there
are some background noise in the quiet parts and during the dead wax intervals but nothing that intrudes
onto this fine Jazz music.The best I would be willing to grade the LP is Very Good that is simply a
cosmetic grading due to the transfer . It plays Excellent minus.And there is plenty of luster still left on both
sides of this LP. The original inner sleeve is here all my Vertigo s have original sleeves I myself am not a
fan of the new ones you can buy. The cellophane is still inside and undamaged but not attached. Someone
with nimble fingers would have no trouble fixing it. Apart from that the inner is Excellent.So a great playing
sample of this really rare Vertigo LP with an EXCELLENT sleeve. So a great and a really rare opportunity
for all the Vertigo collectors to enhance your already valuable collection and grab an upgrade of this seriously
rare seldom seen Vertigo collectible
