Private Pressing vinyl LP from 1972
Very obscure and virtually unknown.
To my knowledge, this is only the 2nd copy ever offered for sale on ebay and possibly worldwide.
Beautiful vocals with great acoustic guitar, sounds like Nick Drake in places.
Robert Naylor was a virtuoso guitarist and singer/songwriter who tragically died in 1976 aged just 21.
This very rare LP is probably the only known recordings by him with all tracks self written.
His songs have been played in concert by Nick Evans who went to school with him and also by Ralph McTell.
see following link for this information.
Please read all the information below before purchasing
This is by Robert Naylor and is a private pressing.
It was found inside a classical boxed set which dates from 1970.
My guess is it was kept there to avoid damage by the original owner, possibly Robert Naylor or a relative.
Run out groove states RN 1 A and what looks like zofo
As far as I know this is a MONO pressing.
Has the date 5/2/72 on label all titles handwritten and Robert Naylor also on label.
Comes in a plain generic sleeve.
I can find no further info. on this LP, not listed on any folk compilations / books etc. anywhere.
Number of copies pressed - who knows? But there cannot be hardly any that have survived in the 45 years since it was made.
This may be your last chance to ever purchase this album.
Vinyl is in Excellent Condition, possibly virtually unplayed and shows no noticeable spindle wear.
Listen to the soundclip below which plays a clip from 4 of the tracks. Please note - this is a low quality 128kb mp3 file and sounds better on the actual vinyl
