LEONG LAU Dragon Man LP, Sunscape Records LP 10001, Australia 1976.
Very rare album, an interesting collection of loose funky songs with driving bass, interwoven with striking lead guitar. The enigmatic Leong Lau sings, plays flute, sax and more. Apparently he studied Chinese Opera, was part of the Sydney Dance Company and attended the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
Essentially a private pressing - Sunscape, described as a non-profit body on the sleeve, was based in Darlington, Sydney. Pressed by M7 Records.
Vinyl VG - mostly in excellent condition, clean with only a few spindle marks, sounding fine. It has, however, had some poor handling at some point. There are a few light marks or hairlines and a couple of short surface scratches which don t sound on my player. One track has a short series of soft clicks in the middle. There is some light noise between tracks. The final track, a short poem, has a bit more surface noise, which seems to be a pressing issue. Labels clean.
Cover VG , some handling wear. Short tear rear leading edge, some lamination lift, bumped lower left corner, a few score marks and light scrape in one area of rear on his hat, left of his chin . Insert has a bumped middle fold on one side, causing some creases.

grading
Grading done visually and by playing a few sections. Any scratches tested.
MINT means new. If the record appears almost unplayed I use NEAR MINT. This is not a common grading.
EXCELLENT means played but very well cared for, no scratches. Cover may have very light wear. A quality used record
VG means definitely used but without any major deterioration in sound quality, may have some light surface wear, surface marks or small, light scratches. These will be detailed in my description. Cover has some wear, but no major creases or seam splits. Still a good record
VG means played to the point of developing surface wear, and/or some deeper scratches. These will be detailed. Cover displays general wear.
Anything less will be described and not given a grading.
