RARE AND HARD-TO-FIND RECORDS FROM CHILE South America FOR COLLECTORS WORLDWIDE ALL OUR RECORDS ARE PLAY TESTED AND THEY ARE IN GREAT CONDITION BLONDIE PLASTIC LETTERS MEGARARE and HARD TO FIND original Chrysalis Records very first STEREO press released in Bolivia in 1978 by Chrysalis Records, made and distributed by Industrias Fonoel ctricas Lyra , licensed from Phonogram, with UNIQUE green/black labels and red Chrysalis logo, catalog number CBLP-1003, with hand etched matrix numbers CHRYSALIS CBLP-1003 A in Side 1 and CHRYSALIS CBLP-1003 B in Side 2.
It s interesting to notice that in the deadwax of both sides it s written the date of pressing, 15-XII-78 December 15th of 1978 .
Yes Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from South America PLASTIC LETTERS was originally released in USA in February 1978 and late December the album was released in Bolivia The cover is made of 2 pieces of thin cardboard with non-laminated back cover pasted on the flips of laminated front cover.
Front and back cover keep strictly the original US artwork, with album title, tracklist and full credits written in English only.
In front cover the only difference is the Chrysalis Records logo with Bolivian catalog number at the bottom left corner.
In back cover at the left bottom edge is the information it s a Bolivian issue, it also has the Disco Es Cultura logo Record Is Culture and the Chrysalis Records logo and Bolivian catalog number at right bottom corner.
But the most interesting fact to notice is that they knew the album would be sold in 1979 and so it also has a small boxed text in two lines 1879-1979 CIEN A OS DE INJUSTICIA - BOLIVIA RECLAMA SU LITORAL 1879-1979 One Hundred Years Of Injustice Bolivia Claims Its Seaboard , a political declaration claiming for the sea that, they say and think, Chile robbed it after the war of 1879 which Chile won.
In labels the album title and tracklist are written in English only, with full credits for songwriters and timing of each song.
An interesting error ? to notice in this megarare press is that in labels it s informed that record is made by Discolandia , but in back cover is informed by Industrias Fonoel ctricas Lyra in a first line and the second line says Discolandia Dueri Cia.
Ltda., so I m not sure if it s the same company or not.
And you can also see that sides are identified as Side One and Side Two in back cover and in labels they are only 1 and 2 .
So, anyway, here you have the chance to get this great album by Blondie with UNIQUE COVER, UNIQUE GREEN CHRYSALIS LABELS and UNIQUE POLITICAL MESSAGE from Bolivian authorities in cover WOW The cover was already described and it s in great VG or VG condition both the front and back cover, clean and clear, no missing parts, with evident creases and wear in all edges, no rips, a faint blemish on the pink shirt, ring mark and some discoloration in back cover, with a seam split of about 1,5 inches in the spine.
The record is in VG- or VG condition both sides, glossy and clean, but with many scuffs, hairlines and some light scratches, which don t affect play at all.
Labels on both sides are in absolute EX or NM- condition, clean and clear, no writings, no marks of any kind, only very minimal spindle hole wear and some factory blemishes in Side 2.
The sound is in great VG or VG condition both sides, loud, clear and clear, no background noise at all, only some constant soft crackles and occasional light pops and clicks, more evident in the silent parts and between the songs, which of course don t cause any major distraction from the great sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end, I d recommend a deep vacuum cleaning, sure the sound could get better.
Overall a 37 years old record which has the evidence to have been played a lot but with care, sure it s not for Minty minds or audiophiles but sure it still keeps a great sound quality which will delight anyone from the beginning to the end.

We use the Record Collector s Grading System with a little modification: we don t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a or to show a most professional accurate description.
MINT M : I only use this grade for Sealed records.
NEAR MINT NM : The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve .
The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.
EXCELLENT EX : The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn t affect play.
The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD VG : The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD G : The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR F : The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR P : The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc.
The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD B : The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
