Item Description
Jefferson Airplane - Up Against the Wall RARE LIVE LPOriginal pressing on the Trademark Of Quality (TMOQ) label. Other color variations are more common, but the clear / transparant variation is really rare!
The sleeve is in EX condition and the record is in NM condition.
The material from this album was taken from two PBS television specials:
"A night at family dog" & "Go ride the music".
Great sound quality.
Recorded while the band were at their peak as a live outfit, these nine tracks see the Airplane stretching their musical legs confidently. Far heavier than their early folk -rock sound but still extremely psychedelic nonetheless, the material comes mainly from the recent 'Volunteers' LP, but a few early tracks are reworked and I don't think they ever released a studio version of 'Emergency'.
Set list:
A1 We Can Be Together
A2 Volunteers
A3 Eskimo Blue Day
A4 Mexico
A5 Somebody To LoveB1 Wooden Ships
B2 Plastic Fantastic Lover
B3 Emergency
B4 Ballad Of You & Me & Pooneil
Taken from two PBS television specials:
Tracks A1,A2,A4-B3 from "Go Ride The Music" recorded on April 2, 1970 at Wally Heider Studio, San Francisco;
Tracks A3,B4 from "A Night At Family Dog" recorded on February 4, 1970 at the Family Dog At The Great Highway, San Francisco.
+ As a bonus I'll throw in a live album by
Jefferson Starship: fasten your seatbelts. The Amazing Kornyfone Record Label ‎– TAKRL 911
Record and sleeve are NM.
There is no info sheet just a hand written note with details.
Side 1: Miracles 3:23 / Hot water 4:32 / St Charles 8:45
Side 2: White rabbit 6:50 / Please come back 3:38 / Dance with the dragon 6:55
Details from a Jefferson Starship site: Sbd, 9/-/1976, Winterland, San Francisco, CA
This is the hottest “White Rabbit†I have ever heard! The exact date of this show had been a source of speculation, but in the end we have to rely on the group itself. One track “Please Come Back†was released on a 2LP set titled “Flight Logâ€. On that LP, this song is listed as “Winterland, September 1976″. And, there you have it.â€
