PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING:
Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.
OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.
In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on
any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the
need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.
Payment
is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after
auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in
detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times
delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.
Overseas mail to some countries Italy, Russia, France, in particular
has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable
and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide
excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.
We use a VPI machine and
thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by
removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml
plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts,
and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.
We
take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please
give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we
will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare
and collectible music We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so.
Thank you for your interest and support.

USA - INVICTUS RECORDS - ST 7302
PLAYS GREAT, check exact details below:::::
Original 1970 RARE first Parliament album, highly rated for many years and super hard to find... the interests in early FUNKADELIC LP s Maggot Brain Free Your Mind 1st LP are going to want to check into the mighty OSMIUM
The Parliament Ozmium album in name only- this is
clearly an early Funkadelic album in disguise. Franticly amorous I Call
My Baby Pussycat beats the slower version that Funkadelic would
include on America Eats Its Young and may shock anyone expecting
something along the same lines as Give Up The Funk .
As noted, the LP is definitely
more of a FUNKADELIC style album
than PARLIAMENT not surprising given that this dates from 1970 and the
gems here are awesome Fan faves are the funky I Call My
Baby Pussycat I spell it P-U-S-S-Y and the powerful, moving
gospelesque tracks Oh Lord, Why Lord and The Silent Boatman -
amongst the most beautiful tracks in George Clinton s catalogue.
Parliament s OSMIUM album presents a guitar-driven sound which is differentiated
from the material on the Funkadelic albums of the era mainly through its
focus on short-form structured songs as opposed to improvisational
jams. Of course, from Maggot Brain onward Funkadelic would incorporate
songs such as this alongside their longer freakouts, leaving the
Parliament name rather redundant until it was resurrected in 1974 as a
home for P-Funk s more funk-leaning and less
psych-drenched material. This leaves Osmium as a real oddity in the
P-Funk catalogue - but a catchier and more compelling oddity you d
struggle to find.
