Item Description

THE BEATLES - THE BEATLES WHITE ALBUM This rare UK EXPORT pressing was manufactured in the UK for overseas territories where Apple was still an unregistered trademark The stereo set dates from November 1968 and each disc has black yellow Parlophone labels: P-PCS 7067/8 Disc 1 - P-PCS 7067 Matrices: YEX 709-1 YEX 710-1 Stamper codes: 2/GGD 4/LG Vinyl weight: 146g Disc 2 - P-PCS 7068 Matrices: YEX 711-1 YEX 712-1 Stamper codes: 4/PM 1/GOP Vinyl weight: 141g The discs are housed within in a fully laminated, top-opening Garrod Lofthouse printed cover, numbered No.0522239 with a small stereo indicator in the upper right corner of the rear panel This set comes with replacement German portrait photos poster but original black inner-sleeves CONDITION Labels: NEAR MINT All are clean bright with no significant or major signs of wear.
There are a handful of light spindle trails around the side 1 2 centre holes and just two or three on label 3 but none on 4.
Both Discs Visual: MINT Remarkably all sides are in pristine factory-fresh condition and totally unmarked both in strong daylight AND directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp.
You will not find a better set.
Sound Quality of BOTH discs: NEAR MINT Played less than a handful of times on quality equipment, every track plays cleanly clearly with no crackle or groovewear.
My playcheck detected a trace of normal low-level vinyl background between tracks and in some of the quieter passages, but no clicks, pops or any other audible distractions of any kind Cover: VERY GOOD A respectable example which could easily be upgraded to match the quality of the discs.
The cover is evenly coloured throughout with a glossy all-round laminate bearing light storage rubbing faint disc impression.
There is a small area of damage to the front top-opening edge where it appears a sticker was removed, but there is no major wear to the other edges or corners.
Both panels inside of the gatefold are unworn.
The rear panel is as clean as the front, with a bold stereo indicator There is a 6cm split to the central part of the spine but the wording is covered readable Poster: NEAR MINT Unhung still factory-folded Inner-sleeves: GOOD VERY GOOD Both are present but one has a large tear to the centre window.
There are no seams splits to either Photos Poster: MINT N.B.
