The Beatles - Please Please Me Parlophone PCS 3042 UK LP 1963 This is the original UK Stereo pressing with Black Gold Parlophone labels.
This is a major UK rarity How many black gold UK Stereo LP s were pressed is open to much debate.
What is certain is that it was not that many.
They are seriously rare This copy is far from mint but it is a very playable copy.
It has a front laminated flipback sleeve.
Which has a large Stereo on the front is printed by E.J.
Day .
The Angus McBean credit starts immediately after the S of ...12 Other Songs .
This denotes a 1st pressing black gold cover.
It comes with its original tracing-paper lined Emitex inner sleeve - which is in VG condition.
There are no seam splits.
Interestingly it has the original record shop stamp, where it was originally bought in 1963, on the the inner sleeve.
The shop was Parker Pianos in Barnet.
The record is pressed on thick vinyl has black gold Parlophone labels.

text around the bottom half of the label.

The matrix numbers, followed by mother stampers, are as follows: Side 1: YEX 94-1 R 1 Side 2: YEX 95-1 G 1 This is the very 1st UK Stereo pressing with black gold Parlophone labels, the Dick James credits, the earliest matrix numbers mother stampers.
This is the top UK Beatles LP rarity.
As stated, it is incredibly rare extremely collectible.
Don t miss out Sleeve: There is some mild fading to the rear some mild foxing too.
There is a crease to the top bottom flipback.
There is also a small tear to the bottom flipback.
There is some mild to more moderate rubbing wear to the corner tips.
There is some light laminate creasing too.
VG condition.
Vinyl: This is a well played copy.
There are mild to moderate sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light.
On Side 1 there are about 6 light to mild hairline marks.
They vary in size from approx 2cm-6cm.
Side 2 has about 9-10 light to mild hairline marks.
They vary in size from approx 2cm-8cm.
There is also a light edge warp.
It does not affect play at all I have attached clip below of the actual LP playing on a turntable .
Fair condition.
I have play tested this LP in its entirety it plays VG to VG overall.
Really well considering The music still blasts through.
There is some light sometimes more mild crackle in some quieter places.
There are about 4 clicks at the start of Ask Me Why .
There is a small hairline mark there which is probably the cause.
There are a few light intermittent clicks on a couple of tracks on Side 2.
They are fairly unobtrusive.
I have also attached an audio soundclips of the actual LP below .
The labels are nice and clean and show mild spindle wear only.
Full insurance will be necessary for this item.

However, I have fine tuned them they are explained below.
All vinyl is examined closely under a strong light play tested.MINT Condition As good as a copy you would buy from a shop, immaculate NEAR MINT Condition Very nearly mint just slightly under, maybe a couple of very, very light paper sleeve scuffs that can only be seen under strong light.
SOME WOULD CLASS THIS AS MINT.
This disc has been played a couple of times at most.
Cover is virtually perfect - very minimal wear only.EX Condition A clean tidy copy that shows virtually no defects.
Maybe one or two light needle scuffs or light sleeve removal marks that can only be seen under strong light.
There will be no scratches.
Play will be near perfect with no distortion.
Cover will be very nice with maybe very minimal creasing, ringwear or edgewear.NEAR EX Condition You can tell this record has been played a few times but it has been well cared for.
There will be minor surface marks only that barely detract from the sound quality.
Cover may have slight creasing or ringwear.
A very serviceable copy that you will be pleased with.VG Condition A well played but serviceable copy.
There will be a few marks on the vinyl, but they won t be nasty scratches, just relatively light needle scuffs and sleeve removal marks, they will be noticeable but won t detract from play too much.
Cover will show signs of storage/ ageing, e.g., creasing, slight folding, spinewear, ringwear or sticker tears.

One parcel must not exceed 2kg approximately 4-6 LPS .All records will be sent in high quality vinyl mailers with at least two card stiffeners either side of the LP or 7 .
I use a cruciform box for larger orders 4-6 LPs .
All parcels will be marked Fragile and dispatch time will generally be between 1-3 days after payment.
I will also remove the vinyl from the sleeve place them in a re-sealable polythene sleeve.
In order to prevent seam splits.
Depending on the inner sleeve I often remove the vinyl from the inner sleeve place it in a separate plain paper, or polythene-lined, plain inner sleeve.
I am very conscientious and careful when packaging your LP s .
I consider my postage packaging costs to be very transparent very fair.
Packaging costs will generally be between 0.80 to 1.50.
